So you didn't have to pull the subframe cradle to get the all the diff bolts out?
why would i take diff bolts out for the cooler install?

Another pic of same harness
Soooo.....

1)
My friend and I both ordered the above number (FR3V-14B102-AB), were both informed that it was superseded by FR3Z-14A411-F, and he got his already.
The first number above is what my parts guy called an 'engineering number'.

The FR3Z-14A411-F harness plug for the pump does not match the socket we have on our pumps that we ordered...

Would it be possible for you to take a close up picture of the plug for the pump?

2) This may not be as easy as I'd hope...
My friend cannot find anywhere to plug the harness into a main harness. The worst possible scenario...
It means that Ford has put a different main wiring harness in the cars depending on what seats and options are ordered with the car.
I will be looking this weekend on my car...

To clarify this, can you please take a picture of where your harness plugs into the main harness?
Hopefullly, it's just hiding, but I'm thinking ours (Tech Packs) just ain't there...

Thanks,
Kirby

The plug/socket on the pump I have has all six pins in line.

The plug/socket on the harness has 8 pins and 4 side by side in two rows.
See attached pics.

I'm fully willing to cut the 'new' plug off and put a new plug on, but where to get the new socket/plug that's required?

Sigh....

Here is the diff pump harness you tech guys need. This is the harness you guys need to power up the diff pump. This harness also attaches to the exhaust valves, purge valve for the Evap and also the diff lube pump.

This one you also need for the diff temp sensor. This one is attached to the IRS cradle and is from the chassis main harness. It connects to the diff temp sensor, and both magride level sensors. One on each side. So you have one plug for the main chassis plug, one for the diff temp sensor and two for the level sensors (1 each side)
This harness part (engineering number is FR3V 14B102-AB) the dealer can cross that to a part number for you.

That sounds about right for the connector. I have a wiring diagram open, and C408 (8 pin) is the SVT harness, while the differential pump is 6 pin PWM controlled by the PCM. If you can't find a spot where the new 8 pin connector attaches to the body floor wiring harness, I think you just found out there's a different main wiring loom.

In fact, fordparts breaks out the body floor wiring harness for the base, tech, track. Looks like 4 different skus, including 2017. Those harnesses trend for ~$500, and you still probably have to enable the logic in the BCM.

Unless you have to maintain a stock racing class, this cost seems too high for a PWM pump that wouldn't be too hard to wire up to an external circuit. Or just use an external pump entirely - people have posted some nice ones.

Then there's still the differential temp sensor.

Here is where the 8 pin plus into. Here's a pic of my car. This feeds the diff temp sensor and both left and right suspension level sensors.

This is the diff pump harness.
The pump harness feeds both exhaust valves, the Evap purge valve and of course the diff pump.

This is the differential temp harness.

But remember. These are considered engineering numbers. Just give these part numbers to your dealer parts guy and he can cross them.
