Just cause it acts as a bump stop doesn't mean the part is damaged and in need of repair or replacement... That's an absurd request IMHO.

The yellow spacers were still in the coils.. Should the coils be replaced as well?

It looks like its pushing down on the rubber bump stop on top of the shock.

Yea I'm not really sure what its resting on till I or the dealer removes it. Just want to cover my but if my shock starts to leak. Although I gues warranty will cover them. But still if it hurt it I want them to see it. Just want to make sure. Now will it need to be reprogrammed . I never saw any codes or can I just pull them out , your thoughts.

Just pull the wheel and pull the spacers. The ride is much better after. Recommend taking it in for proper calibration after.

I'm with drumreaper, no need to replace the shock. It was just preventing full travel of the shock. I don't see how it could damage it.

It's going to take a beating between Flat Rock and the dealer any how, It just keeps the car from bouncing around and getting damaged during transport.

Right, not putting on road miles with them still in.

In the one picture it looks like the spacer cut into whatever material is on top of the shock. If it is good no problem. But want to check it. Hate to see it ruin a seal or something.

I have covered this in another thread....It is part of the PDI on an R...The service adviser said that the protocol is to run the VIN to see if any NEW warranty Items have been recalled on the car...if the guy doing the PDI would have done His/Her job correctly this would of been covered....Yes it ticks me off that I drove the car... hating it for 4 days (now love it) and ruined my experience of buying the R....however it did NOT damage the shock in anyway..I made sure to go over it with a "fine tooth comb" and it was fine....The good news is NOW you can really enjoy your car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
