I would not be surprised to hear Ford is evaluating a DCT , but I don't think it will be available for first couple of years of GT500 production. I think the Tremec MT and Ford A10 will be used for first couple years or three.
Well.... According tot he last information on this forums, this generation GT500 will be available for just two years (2020MY and 2021MY) and a very limited run of 2019MY. Also, there is no evidence about a Manual or the 10 speed auto, everything seems to point out that there will be a DCT only.

I have yet to see confirmation from Ford indicating the GT5OO will have DCT.
No real confirmation on anything right?
5.2 CPC/TVS 2650/DCT do seem all but confirmed and with the Tremec DCT plant opening in Wixom MI, I'd think that's a definite.

My old M3s DCT was a bit jerky and had harsh shifts. PDKs are much better. It'll be interesting to see how the Tremec turns out.
PDK is DCT, its just Porsches name for it.

What about downshifts?

I mean, maybe the A10 shifts faster and it's better in straight line, but not so good doing downshifts.

Maybe...
The A10 shifted faster than the previous generation PDK, not the current. But it is still an amazing transmission.

I think that he meant that porsche’s DCT is better than BMW DCT.
you are right. I'm on my mobile and can't read :D I agree, the PDK is quite amazing.

I just get this funny feeling the GT350 is going to be upgraded and have the DCT as an option with the GT500 using the A10.

Motor Trend just tested a 911 with a PDK vs. one with a manual. They were so close on all the times - including laps on Big Willow, that MT said without a doubt you should choose the manual.

It’s back for 2019 so not done yet! It’s looking like the GT350 will be Ford’s fastest NA track car and the GT500 the fastest FI one.

I want to know if DCT will be standard, or optional..? That will tell us a lot about what Ford is planning on doing with this car.

I see three potential versions. (GT500, GT500R, GT500KR)

It's very strange that Ford is using a DCT for the upcoming GT500 over the A10. The A10, if internal GM + Ford testing is to be believed, outperformed the Porsche PDK DCT on shifts.
Is the DCT the same (or based on) one that's in the Ford GT?
What? Source? That's not possible. I test drove a 2018 GT A10 and it was shifting pretty sluggishly.
