Depends on the features and performance, which I don't know yet.

According to what people that know information about the new GT500 says about it, is that there won't be a KR model but a R version (ie GT500R).

My guess is around the 2nd option, 69K and 77.5K

I paid a little over 64K for my '14 GT500 (well optioned). I don't think that I'd be willing to pay more than that for a new GT500 and wouldn't be interested in an R or KR variant.

KR makes more sense and has historical significance.

The lesser 350 can have the R. the 500 big dog can have the King of the Road moniker. Plus the lettering just looks cool.

It does have more sense and it does have historical significance, however the new special version it’s supposed to be a “Track focused stripped GT500” so... the R suits better.

If that true, it still leaves room for a step over that. Whether for speed or for the track.

R has only been used on NA mustangs up to this point.

Why don't we just tell Ford exactly how high we're willing to go. That's a bright idea.

We should tell Ford not only what we are willing to pay but what we EXPECT in terms of horsepower, torque and performance specs and features...

Agreed, it’s foolish to have polls like this until we know more details about the cars performance.

Pay for performance ..we all do

Yes. I am willing to pay to play and if this car comes close to anything like the improvements made with the GT350 then ford will demand top dollar and get it.

I also owe this Challenger Hellcat a beat down for the ass kicking I caught 3 years ago..So I am all in in the 60k to 70k range..if this thing really will put out 700 hp plus and corner like a top performance car.

Now an R model or KR..well we could see our 1st 90K to 100K production mustang.

Thoughts?

If it makes you feel any better, I was the first Shelby owner to give a Hellcat an asskicking and I did it before the hellcat was released to the public :ford:

in 2013/2014 I was managment with FCA and on the Hellcat launch team at Brampton Assembly where they are made, I have always been a die hard Ford fan, so I purchased a 2014 Shelby GT500 with the perfomance pack and track pack, my car has all the options except for the glass roof. Of course being in management and on the launch team of a new competitor vehicle, my boss was not too happy that I had purchase the Shelby which I proudly drove into work all the time instead of my crummy company car (300S AWD with 5.7L hemi)

Anyways to make a long story short, On October 6th, 2014, one of the security guards at the plant put a parking violation notice on my GT500 stating I had parked in "Chrysler only parking" so I drove around to the foyer to speak with security there regarding that, as I left the front foyer, my boss was taking a pre-production Hellcat Challenger out with the manufacturers plates on it from the underground parking/holding area and he pulled up behind me, as I made a left turn onto Williams Parkway which rund along the front of the plant, he guns the Hellcat, trying to overtake me by passing me in the right lane...well I wasnt having any of that so I jump on it and start slamming gears, there is about a 1 km distance to the east end of the plant and I pulled an easy 4 car lead on him before getting to the body framing parking lot closest to my office LMFO.......Boy did I catch crap for that the next day :ford:

No manual=No want
Hard to handle that kind of horsepower with a manual..... I get the whole purist thing, but its all about laying that power down as effectively as possible. If you are hell bent on a purist track car, the GT350R would be the way to go.
