Let me clarify, the car it self is going to be amazing as far as performance, looks and straight up badness. What I am not excited about is the battle in the dealership many of us are going to have. The GT350 was already seeing ADMs of $10- $25 and some of those where on Non R models. I still think its pretty shitty that if you can afford a Ford GT you don't have to pay a penny over MSRP but the true fans and everyday Joe's, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR OWN!! Especially if your from California. Yes, I know the car is not for everyone and not everyone can or will be able to afford it, but that is not my argument. I make a decent living and I could pay the ADM the dealers will be asking, but should anyone of us have to? This may as well be the start of the AMD Nightmare Sticky. Let the out of State searching begin....

I did well, I got ahead of it. Pick up the phone and try to get an agreed upon price that you can live with instead of not trying and complaining about it. Just sayin'

Current GT350's are running less than MSRP with R's at about 5K.

I don't like artificial drama. take care

Really? Hating the idea of ADM's is artificial drama? His point is that he shouldn't HAVE to pick up the phone and do work to avoid it.

I hate people that just accept bullshit systems instead of wanting to improve them. Take care.

Been planning with my local dealer and representative for almost a year. Probably bugging the hell out of them. Just got to show that you are serious and get in line early! Money talks and in the end Ford.wants to sell cars. The only thing I was not aware of was that Ford makes you pay into the Shelby program in order for the dealership to obtain one?

And as far as accepting the BS system. I hate it to. If you know a way around it other than just not purchasing I'm all ears! It is what it is! Unfortunately the more awesome desirable the car is the harder it will be to obtain at first!

It never ceases to amaze me when people pay over MSRP for a car, especially a GT350. Hopefully they just have more $$ than brains.

We live in a capatalistic country. There will always be those that seek $$ for basically nothing, I don’t think it’s right but it’s the way it is and it will never change.
I should hope that ford, seeing how much it pisses their customers off, would implement a system that would bennifit both the dealer and the buyer.
If behind closed doors ford says to their dealer network, hey, I’ll get you 10k over by adjusting the MSRP price tag.
We wouldn’t know any better and we would pay, say, 90k for what is essentially a 80k car.

Haha. Just sayin....it’s a dog eat dog world, it’s the way it’s always been and the way it will always be. Is it right?... well...it depends on who you talk to.

I don’t think it’s GOOD business, but we all have the right to choose a different make.
When you go to the grocery store or any store for that matter you pay a premium over what the manufacturers charge the vendor, say you buy a box of crackers. The manufacture charges the store 1 buck for that box, well, the store sells it to you for 2 bucks. That ain’t right either is it? That’s double the freaking cost. Wait for when they are on sale for 1.05.

Wow, another Bernie sanders story. Let me guess, socialism/comunism? Right? Remember the post that got deleted? I'm the guy who chose to sleep in a tent subject to round the clock missions over Afghanistan while you chose to comfortably slept in your own bed after 9/11.

I chose not to post comments when you have something to say. I suggest you choose do the same to mine.

Machsmith is correct. It is a market economy. Pay to play. What are you driving? Oh yea, a Nissan. I asked before..... Why are you here?

With all due respect how do you know how this car is going to perform from a drivers standpoint? Do you know much more than the rest of us?

Not saying it will not be a terrific automobile but your assumptions have not been confirmed so let's see where this car all ends up with respect to performance numbers and pricing.

Secondly, your assumptions that this car will bring a big ADM is hard to understand based on not knowing when the car will come out, performance numbers let alone how many cars will be produced for the 2019MY?

Not sure if your were around for the first round with the launch of the GT500's back in 2007 with almost ~11,000 cars assembled and how did that all go with respect to ADM's, performance and production number speculation?

A lot of us make a decent living just as you do but for you to come on here suggesting that you will have to pay a significant ADM for a new GT500 without any having any idea of the MSRP or production numbers is somewhat hard to comprehend.

If you were around in late 2006 you could probably relate to what I am suggesting.

Wait... I didn’t get what you mean by this...
From what my dealer is saying they have to pay into the shelby purchase program to be eligible for an allocation. He said it was $1000 dollars for the Gt350 when it became available. They have not verified that for sure with the GT500 as no information is out yet.

Yep, that’s what they have to pay, each year to be in the Shelby program, or to get GT350 allocations. I don’t think that they needed to do that with raptors or RS’s, but could be wrong. I’m sure they will need to pay the 1000 again for the the GT500.

Just a rant... Ford stock right now is in the crapper. I’ve lost a shit load in the last 2 weeks. Should have pulled it out, went to the casino and put it all on red.

You would think they would want the Fn money themselves rather than letting the dealers mark them up.

With all due respect....

Yes, this is all an assumption, its what people do on forums, but at the same time of course the car is going to a performance beast! Ford is not working on a car that is going to be less then that. With the already confirmed 7:eyebulge:hp+, its more than majority of people need or can handle. But we are in the middle of a modern day Horsepower War (win for us & for Dealers) and the name of the game is stronger & faster.

Production numbers aside this car will definitely bring a ADM, maybe not at some dealers in Southeastern USA but definitely in Southern California. There are still local dealers asking $10K for GT350. So to not assume that there will be an ADM on the Newest, Badness and most Powerful Mustang EVER is something I can't comprehend. My OP was not to say its unfair and poor me, just that it sucks and hear we go again. Unfortunately, I'm in the capital of people with too much money and Spoiled little F*cks who asks their parents.

At the end of the day everyone will pay what they are willing to pay but it does go to say that some people will be squeezed out of the market because of the ridiculous ADM prices. Happy Hunting:cheers:

I built a new house out in the sticks and paving a long driveway delayed my Gt350R purchase a few years. I just found a base R at nearly MSRP which is awesome. Now a soon to be released GT500 is coming. I can wait again but going a few years without some fun wheels is a drag and riding the old Harley just doesn’t do much for me anymore. Would love to get a satin finish non metallic gray. I had an old pistol coated in Coyote Brown cerakote which would look interesting with black wheels and trim (maybe in a wrap).

Thanks for your time served.

I don't even know where to begin with this. Any of this. All of it. Comparing direct manufacturer delivery to ADM's of dealerships, politics, this isn't fair, that isn't fair...

By the way, Ford GT owners aren't just average enthusiasts or not real enthusiasts as you so put it vs us real enthusiast. You were hand picked through thousands and thousands of applications. My average joe ass walked into my dealership with an allocation for a GT350 and put a deposit down before the next guy. Who probably has WAY more money than me. In fact I KNOW he did. Because he offered me $5K for my allocation plus buy out of the car. He also had a Boss 302, a GT500, and a few classic Fords that he raced at Road America.
