Here's your first look at what is likely to be the 2015/16 GT350/GT500 Mustang!

While all prior Mustang prototypes have been visiting several laboratories around Dearborn, this prototype sporting a quad-exhaust setup was entering the gates of the SVT workshops. There are some key differences visible on this prototype.

In addition to the quad-exhaust setup (which gave a fantastic rumble), this Mustang gets revised camouflage to accommodate new, functional air-scoops visible on the GT350 prototypes. A mesh panel has been added to the GT350's hood, and we can see an air-duct tucked underneath the camouflage. Another vent can be seen behind the mesh camo just behind the front wheel. The fact that the usual Mustang camouflage has been altered in favor of new breathable mesh panels indicates the new ducts and scoops are fully-functional, performance-enhancing features--just what one would expect from a car designed to top the Mustang model range. The prototype also has a new set of meaty new wheels and tires, which cover upgraded brakes and cross-drilled rotors--another sign that this Mustang is ready for track duty.

We also have a close-up of the Mustang's new steering wheel which sports a taped up pony emblem and comes with a range of buttons to operate the more advanced infotainment options that are expected to be a part of the new Mustangs. Two instrument clusters can also be seen behind the mesh.

Wow.....FINALLY!!

It's fully covered but I'm liking the scoop placements and the wheels look sweet!

Thanks Jarstang! :headbang: Been real quiet on the spy pics but glad we're seeing something new.

The rear lights look interesting. Either the red part looks like similar halo style we have now or it could be tape? Looks odd.

Very interesting on that front scoop.....

Photos 8,9,10 showing the rear....notice how the "side splitter" from the rocker panel is continued and carried back along the lower edge of the rear quarter panel and then blends into the rear lower bumper cover. That's new too!

Why that lower panel under the rear? To hide the IRS which most everyone who cares already knows is there?

Good catch, you're right. I like how it looks!

Man I cant wait to see what those vents look like.

Anyone know if this steering wheel is shared by any others? Not the Fusion one as I had feared.

Have no idea on the steering wheel....I've not been in any other late model Ford cars, except the current Mustang.

Doesn't matter, but it looks like there are 2 different cars represented in the pics? tags on the license plates are different and the back window camo cutouts are at different heights.

Steering wheel is unique. Looks like a cross between the new Fusion wheel and the current Mustang wheel.

Excellent - 4-piston calipers in the rear too. No cheapee singles.
And the "scoops" are exhausts.. the hood exhaust just as in the GT500 now, and the side exhaust exhausting air pressure under the front fenders.
Good to see the steering wheel... looks a lot more functional over the huge one in the current car.

Yea think you're right. Button placement looks the same as the Fusion just more squared on the Mustang.
