A notchback would be cool, but I can't really imagine them doing it at this point. I don't think they've offered multiple body styles since the Fox (other than convertibles of course). Sorry.

You'll never be seeing a notchback again; the design isn't aerodynamic, and they need to do what they can to improve fuel economy. Shooting brake seems unlikely, but, Ferrari did one, so who knows.

you know what, as silly as that sounds i would be all over it..
love that style of bmw.. and it would be functional. people could sit in the back and you could haul stuff around..

Shooting Brake - me too!
I still admire the Volvo 1800ES from 1973; it looks better than the original 1800 coupe. A shooting brake would be my preference because I like road trips and like to carry a bicycle in the back. And a shooting brake, while I doubt it would be popular in the home market, seems like an appealing car for the UK/Europe market (where they still buy station wagons).
