2018 Mustang GT Coupe-Premium
Lightning Blue more than likely, others still debating are Magnetic, Orange Fury or Ruby Red
10 Speed Auto

Magneride
Active Exhaust
Digital Dash
Front collision warning, lane keeping assist, Adaptive Cruise(however they package it)

Wheels depend on what is available to get with PP
Black Roof if lightning blue
Enhanced Security Package-if available

Possible premium interior package

Ill have to see whatever else is available but it will be loaded.

I want to get a 2018 fully loaded, with a 7-year warranty.

I am torn between Ruby Red, and Lightning Blue. I have always wanted ruby red, until lightning blue came out... I'm 50/50 now, and the colors couldn't be more different from one another. I like colors that are deep and change depending on the light outside. I spent an hour at the dealership yesterday just staring at a ruby red and lightning blue next to each other in the parking lot... no idea what I'm going to choose. I love new 5-spoke aluminum wheels, though. First world problem, I suppose, that the hardest part about choosing a new car is picking the color...

The 10-speed is really tempting, but I love the feeling of a manual (plus it is also going to be cheaper). Have been driving a stick the last 7 years. I keep hearing people complain about the feeling of the clutch pedal, however. I also drive about 50 miles per day, and in traffic. Hard to know if I'd be bored with an automatic, but on the contrary, I would love the efficiency and gas mileage advantages.

I'm also in love with the tone of my current Roush axle-back exhaust. It's my favorite thing on the car. I'm concerned the 2018 quad exhaust STILL will be underwhelming as stock, or won't have the right tone, and I'm not sure what after-market options there will be...

Can I ask why you traded in a GT350 for a 2018 GT? I have always wanted a GT350, but the "value" of the 2018 GT is drawing me in. I'm not sure if I'm letting the financially savvy person in me take advantage of getting what I "really" want.

I'm wondering if I'm on crack as well comparing the two, however, these are the main arguments I'm considering:

-Can get A-plan on GT. Can't on GT350. That saves about $5k.

-Might only be a 60 HP difference now for a $20k difference in MSRP. GT has magneride now too.

-GT350 body style appeals to me a lot more.

-GT350 5.2L will sound much more unique. Sound is my favorite thing about a Mustang.

-Car is my daily driver -- which is easier to equip snow tires on? The GT.

With that all said... it really isn't that crazy to compare the two now, unless money is no option.

if I trade for an 18 it will be because of this shitbox mt82. Never again, and I love manuals. 10spd it is.

I lost my Magnetic GT auto so basically going to replace that.

Trouble is here in the U.K. we don't know what we will be able to get and even what options will be available.

Saying that, I will be ordering:-

GT
10 speed Auto
Magnetic

Magnaride would be nice (if available)
Active exhaust will also be nice (if available).

The option I'm not so worried about is the digital gauge cluster (but from videos I've seen, this may be standard for cars in Europe).

Cool to see how you guys are picking your options! :D

I'm planning on ordering in the winter for spring '18 delivery...

Orange Fury GT (need to see it in person first)
6spd manual
300A (or equivalent)
PP2 (depending on what's included)
Which ever package gets me cloth Recaro seats

With corporate/X Plan, I'm hoping that it comes in under $40k
I was quoted $36.5k in late 2014 for a 2015 PP/GT/300A/6spd...with the expected price hike and extra goodies that may be coming with the PP2, that could be close.

I got tired of driving a manual transmission. ive had one almost all my life and im 50 now. just plain tired. it was a nice car, but honestly, I missed the toys on the 15 GT I had as well, rear sensors, BLIS mirrors, etc. The 10 speed will be fast. With the GT350, you can only go so many places to really wind out the motor, then you have to slow down really fast since you are really flying at top rpm. it was personal choice and I don't regret it. it would be nice to still have, but I traded it in when my value was still high and got a 17 gt automatic for now until I get the 18 I want. I owe next to nothing on the 17, under 10K after trading back my GT350, and owed 30K on it still. Car was awesome, but I want all the toys in it and im having to go to therapy for my clutch foot anyways not related to the car, so its just better.
