I'm more interested in the 93 vs e85 on the same tune. That comparison can be done any time due to the nature of the Proflex.

What gives me pause is that they are claiming that practically any engine can run e85 with their system. Specifically they have units for pre-S550 Coyotes and Road Runners. Everyone who offers flex fuel tunes, eg. Lund and Livernois, explicitly state that those earlier cars require upgraded injectors. AED goes so far as to say even late model GT's and GT350's need larger injectors to run e85. I trust Lund in their assurance that their Shelby flex tune is safe as I have had zero issues in two years. I also think that they know what they're talking about when they say earlier Coyotes require larger injectors.

I would just say to call AFD and William will be able to answer your questions. If for nothing else just to satisfy your curiosity.

E85 makes power as a result of the increased octane and a timing. This system does not touch the factory timing it seems so I don’t see how they claim 30whp.

stock timing tables ride the knock sensors and are capable of adding more timing than 93 allows, especially in hot or OP conditions. gt350 gets away with the same injector because it has dual pumps, higher pressure, and a fuel rail pressure sensor to regulate duty cycle properly.

Exactly. I have never heard of anyone running a pre-2015 5.0 on e85 with a stock fuel system, yet these guys offer a system for the Boss.

I just read their FAQ. They do address the issue of larger injectors and state that their R&D addresses that. Does look interesting, especially for octane-challenged regions.

Anyone ever have any update on this, preferably with before and after dyno results on a stock car? I'm still struggling to see how it makes any more power without feeding back to the ECU, essentially modifying the tune. As far as I understand this system, the ECU basically has no idea it's there, has no idea of what the ethanol percentage is, it's only the injectors being tricked into staying open longer...

No way you gain 51whp with this without a tune. Maybe 10whp.

Woman.Driven on youtube just uploaded an install video on the GT350 today. I bet there will be a results/impressions video to follow

She has a tune already. Plus she don't care about blowing her motor when she makes 60k plus on her channel.

I'd agree, if any at all, because added fuel without added timing will only cause you to run really rich and actually lose power.

Her initial impression was felt same as her current E85 tune. Not very helpful. We need a bone stock car and then this kit only back to back.

I know, the fact that this is plug and play with any tune including stock or otherwise is what makes it really suspect. And she clearly had money before youtube lol
