Few people have gotten close enough to see if there is a vin number.
Hopefully it is just a matter of someone talking to a senior person from Ford Marketing at wherever the venue is in order to get a quick glance as to whether VIN's have been assigned to these VP cars?

Makes sense, probably basing it off the 08-09 car.

I see the Bullitt as a poor mans GT350 R. With the difficulty in finding a GT350 R at MSRP , us poor boys can go to any Ford dealer and maybe get a Bullitt at MSRP.

Only difference is the gt350 will hold its value way better than the bullitt long term

I totally disagree. The Bullitt is a trim package with a few extra ponies. The GT350/R is a track ready street legal car with few amenities.

Jarstang calm down on the click bait headline on the front page. Stuff like this is what spreads viral on automotive media sites and feeds dealers need for greed. While the Bullitt is a two year run there have been no limitations set on the number of cars produced. This isn't like the 2015 50th LE models where only 1964 were made.

The article says it's limited; just no numbers yet:

"It’s a limited edition, North America-only release, yes, but one that will be made available at every Ford dealership in Canada, according to Buzzell."

EDIT: re-reading it, it could be interpreted as limited production or just a special edition without limited production. Guess it depends on what they mean by "limited edition". Either way, the headline on mustang6g says 'limited release' which is also accurate since it is limited to North America

Only the R was stripped of options. the regular GT350 could be had loaded.

Aside from the difference of 50HP, and the transmission, most of the GT350 suspension should be a direct swap over if anyone wanted to.

That said I think if anything a PP2 Bullitt would have been a "poormans GT350".

Maybe, maybe not. Depends how many Bullitts they end up building. Even if it's a 2 year run, that's still shorter than the current 3 year run of the GT350 (technically 4 if you count the few 2015s). The Bullitt could turn out to be the more rare car. Only time will tell if this additional rarity will be stronger than the desire for the 5.2 in the 350, but it's possible.

Maybe. Probably. I guess. Don't know.

But the movie car costs less than the regular GT 350, likely ~10k less.

Agreed that the Bullitt is a loaded Premium GT with green paint and 15 more ponies.

But the price difference between it and the GT350 variations are more than considerable.

Bottom line is people who want a GT350/R will get one, and people who want the Dark Highland Green pony will get one. Personally, I'm just your regular decades long Mustang buyer and am not interested in either.

Cost will be far less if you factor out the ADM. I doubt dealers will be able to ask for an ADM considering Ford will make as many Bullitt's they can sell for this two year period.
