My mustang developed a "buzz" from the left side vent. Then I realized that it actually is the center part of the headlamp knob.

I searched on this forum and I only see the one complaint from the person on another thread, but nothing dedicated to this problem.

Anyone else having this problem?

When I put my finger on the center part of the knob, the sound goes away, until I take the finger off and drive for 1 min.

It's driving me nuts. Usually on my Genesis, Hyundai was quick to putout a FSB on rattles. Is there an FSB on this or anyone know where I can look up FSB's for the S550 mustang?

I get a rattle there, but it goes away if I push in the aluminum trim instead.

Same here. I believe its the aluminum trim as well. It doesn't happen every day but when it does, it is annoying.

Mine is right above the headlamp knob, where the dash material meets the pillar material. They rub together and speak/rattle. If I push down on the dash or push on the pillar, it stops temporarily. Annoying as heck. I pretty much slap the dash on that side every time I drive anywhere.

If anyone can figure out how to take the trim off, likely some felt would fix this issue.

really simple fix guys. If you remove the knob and panel piece you can lay some dynamat behind it, reinstall and it wont rattle.

Others have reported if you go to the dealer and report it you can get a new knob that will fix the problem too.

Mine does the same, but if I press the middle of the knob it goes away. So it is not the trim piece, but the button itself.
