Yes, from the windshield forward the front fenders, hood and bumper assembly are all unique to the GT350/R's and are not interchangeable with a Mustang GT.I think lots of people think you can just interchange a GT and 350 front bumper and hood.
I admit I'm not knowledgeable on this subject, but the engineer in me would think the under-structure of both the GT and 350 would be the same. That if you stripped off the fenders, hood, radiator support, and other bolt ons, they could be swapped? The body comprises most of that, and are obviously identical. The rad support is CFRP, and is alot closer than most people think.
