We decided to head out to National Trails this weekend even though it was hot and sticky and 2500 feet we thought we'd see what the car could do first pass off the trailer we want a new personal best of an 8.84 our previous was an 8.86.
Goal for the weekend was to try to drop into the 8.7 Zone wasn't sure if we were going to get there both of our time runs on Saturday we blew the tires off because the track was over 130 degrees
We gave it one last shot this morning at 2500 calculated da we let her rip to a 1.36 60' and an 8.704 @ 160mph.
Previous best was Melissa Urist with an 8.711 so we just squeaked by her today. I'm guessing they'll be bringing the car out of retirement real soon.
This makes our Vortech powered Beast the quickest s550 with a factory trans and the quickest with a factory IRS and the quickest with both.
Can't wait for some good air and we're working on a new converter as well. This fall should bring some pretty cool stuff
