I will agree with that. Both are very amazing cars and very worthy of their duties/intents.
The GT350r is an amazing car but not at all what I'm hoping for in the 500. Thinking more in line of and American GTR/Porsche Turbo(minus the AWD). A high performance killer you can drive every day!

The GT500 will be a beast of epic perportions.
The R has gotten rave reviews....it has won over critics, competing againts cars with far more HP.
I will go out on a limb and say the GT500 wont be as fun to drive but that doesnt mean it wont be fun. The 2015-2018 350R will go down in folklore, its already made history.
Time for the 2019-2020 GT500 to make its own mark. I have faith it will.

With all this build up it going to have to be a BEAST! I believe Ford is up to the task! I just hope they don't hold back and bring the thunder! And make it so we don't have to jump through hoops to get one!!'

Something still doesn't add up for me. Over 800hp with only a blower?!? Who else gets the feeling the GT500 will usher in some sort of hybrid power train for the Mustang?

If it doesn't have that then the cubes could be much higher than 5.2.

Lol! 7.0....with a blower, that WOULD be a monster.
I think its the 5.2 CPC with twin centrifugals on it. If production car makes 800 HP i'd be happily suprised.

I just can't believe that the twin turbo is really off the table! I still come back to all the eccoboost technology to use a supercharger? Doesn't make since unless they just couldn't pull it off. Hopefully we will know something soon!

That's correct. Just like the baddest muscle car ever to come out of Detroit.

The original GT500 top dog had twin Paxton centrifugal units and made over 700hp almost 50 years ago.

...no?

The original (regular productoin) top dog GT500 was the 68 GT500KR that had a 428 Cobra Jet.
