I've experienced hood-lift at 140 MPH and a 120 MPH, what can be dome to minimize this or to stop it all together? Lift is so bad it seems as though the hood is going to smack the windshield.

Thanks for any input...

On what God-fearing good ole' American highway are you doing this legal 140mph driving where you would have proper conditions to safely evaluate the aerodynamic effects on your engine-enclosure's latch device???

Perhaps twisting the hood adjustment knobs down slightly so the front hood lip doesn't catch as much air.
The hood flutters a bit at high speed, but I haven't read of one flying off yet.

The lift comes from air entering through the radiator. It needs venting the stock vents aren't big enough at that speed. The GT350 has larger vent in the hood and the fenders.

That is a good idea, just look too much DIY

I've had the same feeling even at 90 mph. It shakes like mad...

Hoods have been shaking on Mustangs for decades. Both my S197's have done it and at 160+. Personally, I'd deal with it as it's not gonna go anywhere.

I understand as much...though the Fox-body never had this prob - at least mine didn't. Just a very unsettling feeling, instead of focusing on the road I become distracted by the shaking...

I take "back-roads" to and from work. A lot of open country, light traffic. Spanked a WRX when I hit 140 and just yesterday I followed a Challenger at 120 until we ran up on traffic and the hood started shaking.

That is go directly to jail speed if you get caught. So how does it handle at 140 :eyebulge:? Mine was a little scary at 130 I did not have my Ford Racing strut tower kit on it at that time. The strut tower kit has made a big difference in how mine handles it was well worth the money.
