Any Locking Gas Caps Available for S550?

Just curious if anyone knows of any locking gas caps available for the S550? I have a Stant on my F-150 that works great, but didn't see one available for the Mustang. I keep coming up empty in searching for one. There are some real asshats out there. Just trying to add a little protection. Thanks!

Nope

At least not the 15-17 models. Not sure if they changed it for 18' but I'm guessing they didn't if the OP is asking for one. I thought about getting one back when I bought my 15' but it's normally sitting in my garage so not too concerned.

Not sure, but I'll check. I know the door doesn't lock, but never heard about or tried the actual capless neck to see if it locks.

You just answered the question above. If the door doesn't lock, then the capless neck is accessible to anyone. It would make more sense to get a locking door, not to try to invent a cap for a capless system...

I have to assume he meant the door locks, which it does not.

I can assure there is no locking mechanism in the fueling neck itself. There is some sort of funky design which requires a special funnel (located in the trunk) to fill from a gas can but that's about it. If you're worried about someone pouring sugar down there or something, I would imagine that could still be done and the next time you filled it up, it would flush it through, into your tank. (Again this is all speculation on my part as I have never tried it, done it, or had it done to me...thankfully).

Do you guys live in that bad of an area to justify a locking gas cap? What happens if the key breaks or you forget the key in another car or at your house? Seems like too much of a hassle unless there was a button you could push on the inside of the car.

I think it's part of the Enhanced Security Package (bolt-locking center console, glove box, steering column, wheel locks). I've got the package, so I'll check the next time I head out to the car.

I also have the enhanced security package. It does NOT lock the gas cap door.

(It also does not lock the glove box, although anyone can lock theirs with a key. It only locked the center console)
