I'm giving up my modded '06 Golf GTI that has been my most faithful companion over the last 4 years. It goes like a rocket and takes corners like a champ for FWD. Have always had a blast in the FWD turbo four, but I think a RWD V8 is going to blow me away.

Want me to list a whole bunch of flaws with the Mustang so you feel better about not ordering one?

- the profile is just a clone of BMW M4/Audi S5/Merc C63 with a slightly longer bonnet, which was done (and its just like) 15 years ago in the BMW E86
- We don't get tribar DRLs in AU
- We don't get red tail lights in AU
- the bonnet ripples are just like a W204 Mercedes C Class, and probably primarily to add strength so thinner sheet metal could be used to cut costs
- the flat topped rear haunch looks weird from this angle:

There you go, don't buy one :)

But no, I fully intend to accumulate fun cars and just trade in the beater for the Mustang.

My BA GT went in October 2015.
I feel that it might have been the wrong decesion.

I didn't plan on replacing, but I wrote off my S1000RR on the way to work last week. The Mustang arriving at the end of this month and the fact it hurt like hell coming off the bike, it's looking like it will be a replacement now :p

I traded my 2012 X-Trail on my GT. I hated the X-Trail since the day I bought it - although I sold my Focus RS to pay for a wedding and bought the X-Trail so at least I have something decent again =)

Built 335i would probably outpace a Mustang, have a nicer interior and seat 5 in comfort though?

Bye bye F6. Fun as hell & more power than the Mustang but it's getting a bit stale now so happy for the change.

Trading in my 2009 Z4. I've really enjoyed it and don't want to give up a convertible yet. Tired of having black cars - an AlfaSud in the 80s, X5 in the noughties (twice!) and now the Z4. That's why I've gone TY GT vert. I'm telling everyone that it is NOT a mid-life crisis, I just want it.

I've never modded a car, but I will with this one. Never had a V8. Always dreamed of having a pony car.

I'm a GP - there are a number of car nuts and Mustang lovers amongst my patients. I think I've offered about 50 spins around the block, if the bloody thing ever gets here!

I have a Mini Cooper s JCW. It is so cool that I can't let go. It was also our wedding car so too much sentimrntal value. It will go in the shed and become a project car for now.

Selling my 2011 Renault rs250, had a 2002 wrx STi worked before that.
Subaru > Renault was much harder to do than Renault > mustang :)
