@Marrlqx for president :thumbsup:

Thanks for the work you put in this, much appreciated.

Is my 6 year old ACER laptop with Windows10 up to the task. :shrug:This OBDlink MX reader is only Bluethoot right !

I'm an Apple guy, so if i can't used my ACER laptop, means i have to find a Bluethooth compatible Windows tablet .

Ok just read above post, so it is available in WIFI. Is Bluethooth better ?

Wow, so you can get an axel temp display? That's pretty hot if that's the case.

I did everything running in a Windows 10 VM on my MacBook Pro. I was using a wired adapter, which is definitely best for this scenario. Bluetooth can be shaky to share between a VM and host and Wifi might be the same story.

But if you're running on a Windows laptop, you should be good with whatever adapter supports all the CAN protocols regardless of how its connected.

Tech and Base '16 cars have transmission temp sensors, but they don't have an axle/diff temp sensor. Setting the flag to show you the diff temp on unequipped cars will just give you a blank line.

What kind of adapter can i use between my laptop and the OBDlink MX reader ?

I was under the impression that you couldn't wire the OBDlink !

Sorry for all these questions as this is not my field of expertise. Let's say that i was much more in my environment when rebuilding my '69 Mach1 .;)

Just to chime in from a compatibility standpoint. I'm using FORScan on a Surface Pro 3 running the Windows 10 Anniversary update connected to the OBDLink MX via Bluetooth. I was able to turn my transmission sensor on easily thanks to our fellow members work figuring out the codes!

I have a cheapy $10 wired ELM327 adapter from Amazon, but I needed to open it up and solder a switch in to read all the protocols. So, that's probably not a help to you.

I got $20 for the first person who can figure out how we can keep the exhaust valve closed UNTIL we open it with the switch/setting!
Who else wants to up the ante...

Thanks for reminding me. After a little more tweaking in a hot ass garage, I found it.

APIM module

Code:
Address Values Effect
7D0-02-01 5553 0602 C04A Mustang GT Anim.
7D0-02-01 5553 0702 C04B Gray GT350 Anim.
7D0-02-01 5553 0902 C04D Red GT350R Anim.
When you write the value, the first ignition cycle probably won't show the new animation. Either do a reset on the APIM module via the Service Procedures (wrench), or just wait for the APIM to naturally cycle (probably after sitting for a bit).

Now, this address likely can bring up any of the other Sync 3 splashes there might be. Either the base Mustang or Focus RS or whatever. But I didn't try playing with anything else. I did just run a normal GT through the downloader though and did find its value. But again, didn't try it.

I'm going to put together a Google Sheet to start tracking these Mustang specific changes. Anyway, enjoy.
Hey Matt,
You the man!!
Starting to lose me a bit with some of the procedures at this point..Are there any additional resources I can read to get up to speed?
This is awesome!!
Thanks too for sweating it out for all of us :coolphotos::hail::thumbsup:
