a bit from down under, Edelbrock 2650 Stage 2 with full exhaust, 1000cc injectors and Ford Performance FR3 track pack went 10.57@135, this was done by the boys @ Northmead Auto Centre in Sydney, Australia. 91-93octane, no octane booster, 10.8psi peak, 6R80. this is the first time out with the car, will be going on E85 and 15psi soon.

10.8psi? They ship the kit with 13psi, how did you get the boost down?

The long tubes, hot air from down under plus different cam timing will play a roll in peak MAP readings. Their peak boost isn't too far off from what we saw during development.

Here's a post from Northmead Auto Centre:

"We got time to finally take the blown Mustang out to Sydney Dragway, we got some good data and she performed quite well for her first time out and only 550km on the clock. We are using the Edelbrock Performance TVS 2650 Stage 2 kit, 1000cc injectors, with our exhaust system with 100cpi cats. We've custom tuned the engine and factory 6-speed auto trans on 98-octane (no additives/octane booster) it made 432rwkw/[email protected]. We've been setting the car up for street/circuit handling so the suspension is not the best for drag racing but we still knocked out a 1.59 60' using the Ford Performance FR3 track Handling kit and Mickey Thompson ET Street radials. We got to do a bit more fine tuning at the track, a couple 10.8's with 1.7-1.8 60' then on the 3rd pass she hooked a bit better and knocked out a 10.57@135mph which we were quite happy with. Nick done a good job piloting the car, paddle shifting @ 7200rpm, even though they do perform better just left in Drive, we wanted to get a feel for when it hits a circuit. 135mph weighing 1878kg with driver, the engine is showing roughly 600kw/800hp, the engine is stock apart from a billet oil pump gear, we decided to put it in as extra safety as we are going to be pushing this on E85/15psi and deep into 9-sec zone very soon. We've put a higher stall converter in, but, the factory 6-speed auto itself is still untouched."

Can't wait to see when they turn up the boost with our 8-Rib belt drive conversion on E85! 9 Second ETs here we come!

Hi 10s seems a little slow for 800 crank hp, or probably 700whp. NA guys are running high 10s with 200whp less. Not saying it's horrible, I just think it should be running 9s with that power with the 6r80 and stall. What were the 60 foot times?

There is a time slip posted above. These guys are just scratching the surface. Much more to come. ;)

A very nice looking setup. 134mph is nothing to sniff at. The car is making power.

the car weighs 4133lbs, it's a Premium/Performance Pack plus driver is 300lbs, had 1/2 tank fuel was a 1.59 60' the NA car's are a fair bit lighter. the car is on Australian 98-octane, which is somewhere in between a US 91-93 octane fuel. going off 135mph and 4133lbs, the car is seeing around 750-800hp @ the motor, the power is there, we just need to get the rest of the car to respond. a mid 1.4 60' and some more gearbox tweaking, i'm confident it will see 10.1-10.2@135 with the same fuel.

Holy flat line! What in the world is with that dyno sheet. The Coyotes pull to 8100rpm before they flat line

That's why we don't race on dynos.

I am not exactly sure what your intent is posting in this thread. We know Whipple Superchargers puts out a quality product that performs, and you are constantly working to improve your product for the consumer.

We at Edelbrock are receiving more and more inquires for information about our Coyote Superchargers. Our intent is to showcase real world examples of our product out in the field and what it is capable of.

We are listening to our customers and installers who provide feedback that not only tells us what we are doing right, but where there is room for improvement.

That said, I think everyone here will be excited about what we have lined up for 2018. ;)

Shouldn’t you be answering the guys who are waiting to find out why your tune doesn’t work on their cars? You bring bad form to the forum.

Those NA guys doing high 10s with 200 rwhp less don't weigh almost 4000lbs either...

Weight both unsprung and sprung plays a big role. Get that car down to 3200lbs race weight and it will run 9s.
