what are the pros and cons of the exedy stage 3 mach 500 vs the mcleod rst? do both need new flywheels?

I use a McLeod RST in my blown '05 at just under 600 rwhp. I love it and it's been great. McLeod recommends using their flywheel. I use their lightened steel flywheel. I would call them on their recommendation as far as the flywheel goes on your car.

If you go with the RST then go with the lightened flywheel as well. The stock flywheel will work but has a larger open area in the middle so not all the clutch material is in contact with the flywheel surface. FYI - two things - you will get addicted to power so the words "to much" do not exist. secondly - go to the track once or twice and the words "no beat on" dont play well together. :)

If your going to pull out the tranny and replace the clutch, there is no sense in not replacing parts with all new stuff.

If you wont ever exceed 700 the RST might be fine. However anything north of 750 and she will spin and smoke. So I honestly have no clue how long it would even last at lower levels.
