Never been a fan of the coupe/notch. Always vastly preferred the fastback profile. It would be a hard pass from me if that was similar to what it would look like.

Did someone say Notchback? My 1991 the day I brought it home, sadly only pic I could find. Full black interior.

Soon after Weld Drag Racing Wheels and Skinnys with ET Street Drag Radials. Drove it like that everyday with aka E303 Cam, TFS Stage II Heads, Cobra Ported Intake, 200 Shot Nos. Man those were the days.

It's not a bad sketch.

Your right, its the incongruent design features of the rear hop up in relation to the window opening (DLO).

I think if the designer resolved that feature then it would be a winner!
Right on the money in terms of what looks jarring. I fixed it, though, I'm still not a fan of the design.

It's the trunk and rear throwing me off. It's out of proportion. Though, I don't hate it, I don't love it either.

I am not a fan. That fastback is so much more appealing to me, both in the older generations that featured it, and in the S550.

Interesting...

About the rendering:
The rear rims need to be the same color combo as the fronts, w/ the grey inserts, then it will look even more classic.

So I welcome it, IF it comes to production.

Yup. The roof is too short, and I believe not long enough assuming the same proportions as the current fastback.

The sketch looks kinda nice. Close, but not quite there (from someone who was around when the original came out, and almost drooled over it when my Mom's friend came by with her brand new '64 notchback).
As long as they still offered the fastback, I think it would it would be cool.

I still insist that with a nice 5 or 6spd manual that would have been a fine car. More so if it had launched with the 280HP engine.

If they had a manual option I'd look at one to toss an exhaust and set of gears in for a fun ride.
I thought that the T-bird reboot had a chassis stiffness problem as well. People were calling it a "Flexible Flyer"...

Use the convertible body as the biases for the hard top coupe

That back line doesn't bend like yours does its straight. The way it was shaded makes it looks like its bending. It IS lower than the door notch though.

I think who ever drew it just isn't the best as shading/lighting/perspective.

Gross. The notchback works because the Mustang was much smaller back then.

I think this could work. But as DarkestHour said, the car back in the day was much smaller, it would a serious diet in its current form.

As others have said, reminds me of my first mustang ('91 LX 5.0 notchback).

I bought a new 85 LX 5.0 notchback and friggin loved it. I also like the hatchback as well so I bought an '85 GT 10 years later.

The S550 has an Aston side view to me, very sexy line, I could not see it like this, the back just seems... wrong.
