Hood Vents

Oh so ecoboost only get dual exhaust for 2018 and GT get quads, but I thought I saw somewhere that ecoboost also lacked hood vents, but the recent photos of the ecoboost convertible show that the vents carry over all trims?
Yes every model gets the cheese graters - This will tie in with Papa John's Pizza commercials and getting rid of the Camaro Z28 in his promo material. ;)

I too stopped by at the Pittsburgh Auto Show with an open mind hoping that it would look better in person. In my opinion, it doesn't. There were two 2017s there that made it look even worse. 2018 does not have the same presence as the 2017s. I'm sure it's better on paper but if looks didn't matter I'd be more interested in a Camaro or a Dodge. The front is uglier. Its is not growing on me. Btw, "growing on me" is what people say about ugly things. If Ford wants to sell a lot of 18s they shouldn't put them next to 17s.

Why in that video does the car have 15-17 taillights?
Probably more of a test mule with only some 2018 refresh going on.
Mules often have a mix of parts... Styling consistency isn't a priority at that stage, so they tend to finish off the car to be "road legal" with pretty much any part they may have in the shop at the time.

Could we just swap them out for the 2015-2017 Tail Lights?
If the connectors and the electronics are the same you'll probably find someone who wants to swap them for their 15-17's with you in 5 seconds.

Great photos, Matt :)

I like the tails......if the '65/'66 tails are the '15/'17........

Then the '67/'68 tails are the '18-'20 :)

In fact, with the increased angle on the front end, I really do thing the '18 has taken inspiration from the '67 changes over the '66 :)
See to me the 15-17 tails looked like the 69 tail lights the most.

These 18 ones look unlike any Mustang tails in history to me at least because the tops and bottoms turn and angle inward instead of just being straight. If they wanted to go 67 style I can't imagine it would be hard to make a concave tail light bar. This almost looks lazy with it just taking a turn instead. I realize they're trying to go modern with the angles but to me it's like they tried to change it just for the sake of being different. I guess with how big of an improvement the 13 tails were over the 12s, I had my hopes up for a tail light even cooler than the 15s, but I'm still not totally on board. Maybe more time will help?

The 2018 tail lights are more like turn arrows.

Another confirmation for me that Mustang exterior styling and graphics/cosmetic details are all heading in the wrong direction...
