Sorry for this guys but I can't seem to find a remote wire source in the driver side foot well. I've ran 9wire up to the factory amp molex location and planned to use the ninth wire as a remote turn on wire, the other eight are RCA signal wires. I know the stereo wiring sticky says there's one in the trunk but I'm already here.
None of the factory amp molex contain a 12v accessory wire so I thought I would investigate the factory harness that runs down the door sill and has connectors just below the factory amp. I found one in a molex that should have worked think it was a purple/green 22ga wire in a molex with a orange snap cap. It measured out right at 12v with key on but when spliced into, my new alpine PDX-V9 amp blinks blue. For comparison, the blue light is solid when remote is ran directly to battery. For some reason the amp doesn't like that remote turn on source.

Anyway my question is:
Does anyone one of a wire in the ds foot well that works for this?

Thought I'd share this also, I sound dampened my trunk, rear speaker deck, and trunk lid and 90% of my borla atak rasp at full throttle is gone. Not sure why this happened but I'm really happy with it. I can also hear my tires cherp more then before.

According to the wiring diagrams it is pin 9 of C2385B (color VT-RD) which is meant for the sub amp. Probably the connector is not there. There is a catch (actually 2). This signal needs to be enabled via programming and the signal is 6 volts only. Most amps need more than that.

Or you use the wire which is between ACM and the front amp (DSP) which is a blue/green wire and should be on pin 1 of C2385A. Same issue there it is 6 volts only.

Hope this helps a bit.

I appreciate the help but I've already explored those wires in the factory stereo harnesses. I do in fact have a 12 volt source. My amp doesn't respond to anything less.

I also checked the cigarette lighter in the center console but that's powered 24/7.
I can't seem to find an accessory wire anywhere up front.

I may have to cut my losses on getting a remote wire up front.
I could use the camera wire in the rear and make it clean.

New question:
Could that 9th wire be used as a interference shield for the rca signal at all?
It's not bare, it's a regular wire. Does that matter and how could I wire it up to work that way. Is it just grounded?

Pin 1 is 6 volt. You need a Pac TR-4 to convert it to 12 volt.
The 12 volt and ground to power the Pac TR-4 are also in the same plug.
Amp will then turn on and off like factory.

Either that or any other step-up converter with a 12V ouput.

Other guys just used any other power source, which is hot in start or running like that camera power (blue/white if I remember correctly) mentioned before.

This issue has been resolved. I went to a Ford dealership and spoke with an technition. He looked at the wiring diagrams up front and he couldn't locate a single 12v wire that's not hot at all times. I then explained what others did in the trunk for a remote wire and he confirmed thats pretty much the only option.

So conclusion.
Blue/white wire in the trunk lid harness is only option for tapping into for remote wire. This wire powers the rear view camera when the vehicle ignition is on or running.

Why deviate from what we have already learned?Just follow us.
We have made all the mistakes and wasted the time to make it work properly.

Am I missing something?

Question for people who used the blue/white wire in trunk. When you shut off the engine, do you still hear the radio playing before openning the door?

Is that only for the premiums (with separate amps) or is that the same as for the base models?

Racemaster thanks a lot for replying. I will look around and try to find the diagram.
