What price to expect when buying...

Hi everybody, new member here. Just picked up my new 2018 Race Red GT with the black accent package on Wednesday. MSRP was $37,085, I got it for $29,841 before tax, tag, etc. I bought it at Koons Sterling Ford in Sterling, Virginia. Hazan was the salesman I dealt with, I highly recommend him.

When I have been seeing people make purchases at that msrp on this forum, I typically see a range of $7000 to $8500 off. Imo that is what you should be aiming for.

I did - but the $3K rebate in the quote was $2500 when I picked it up. The Private Cash more than made up for the delta, but a slight pisser none the less. Take home - verify exactly what any rebates are, and when they expire. I didn't, and then couldn't argue about what it should have been. Enjoying the heck out of this car - 348 miles on the first tank of gas...

BTW, I don't know of you're shopping specifically for a PP2, but there was one on order down at Mike Brown Ford in Granbury. There's a link to it in the PP2 Real Life Photos thread. I'll see if I can track it down if you're not already aware of it.

what was the wow price? i guess the 29841 includes the doc and the freight? if so great price

Doc and freight weren't included but still thousands less than I could've gotten the same car locally.

I picked up an 18 base auto yesterday. Sticker was 37685 and before tax I got it down to 31700. I purchased the car from an upstate NY Ford dealer. It wasn't listed as low as koons but when you add in Koons $900 delivery and 400-600 doc fee, it comes out to be the slightly cheaper than what koons offered me.

This is a good deal! so they gave you the ford customer cash and private cash before delivery? I thought you only get whatever is the available rebate at the time of delivery not when you place the order? Thanks!

Has the vehicle been delivered yet? Did the dealer give you any pushback about special ordering one versus one on the lot?

Anyone have any experience in the midwest with dealerships known to work with folks? I am located in the Indy area but staying as far away as possible from the likes of ray skillman and other local dealers. I keep seeing that Vegas gentleman's posts pop up but that is one heck of a drive for the wife and I.
