Just saw the new A7, that's how you style a bumper when you're going for a very wide grille. :(

Photoshopped the A7 bumper on the 2018 Mustang, this would be so much better. Why can't any aftermarket bumper just make it look like that :headbang:

Why design a new bumper when it still has the triangles? Roush is also keeping it, is Ford forcing everyone to keep that?:frusty:
Because building of something that already exists is much easier compared to designing something from scratch. Designing something truly remarkable and loved by many is a very difficult job. Most of these different design that come by only really look good because it's something different and it's shown from it's best angle.

Seeing the 2018 front end in the flesh makes a big different, 2d pictures vs the real thing doesn't do it any justice. The 2018 front has a lot of depth which pictures do not show and it's grill doesn't look as big in real life either. Yes the pre 2018 had some strong features but so does the 2018. If anything it's a more classic look vs a modern look, so you lose some and gain some.

I wouldn't get discouraged by Roush, they're right next door to Ford and work on stuff internally for Ford as well. So they're gonna keep the styling similar and support Ford's design direction. The actual aftermarket companies are the ones that'll be daring and do something different. I hope we see a few examples at SEMA in 2 weeks, although due to the delayed release it'll probably only be the companies close with Ford that will have cars in time for this year's show.

What the heck is "government hold"?
The only thing I can think of is that they aren't road ready. Somebody on YouTube got a 2018 Mercedes c63s before they were road ready and he had to return it. Or they have to inspect it.

Perhaps because it blocks the safety and radar sensors?

There might be some sort of rule that the entire lower grille unit must remain the same. This limits the area that can be redesigned.

C'mon the Mustang has so few assists compared to other cars that hide all of their technical stuff pretty good. VW managed to get their whole ACC and emergency brake cameras into the VW sign in the grille.

True but there is a big difference between an OEM placing sensors in their design and a small tuner company having to redesign and retest them as part of designing a new bumper. They simply cannot afford that and they also cannot afford the liability claims that may arise when one of those systems fails.

With the uprise of these systems I wouldn't be surprised if we'll start to see a widespread decline in aftermarket front end redesigns for new car models.

Still see many cars made by the VW group that have a pretty big camera lens some even have 2.

Wow, Ace's rendering is absolutely perfect!!! Now, just rethink the hood vents and there you have it. I am absolutely floored by the talent on this forum. First the Mach1 rendering and now this. Ford... take note!
We had the 2018 Mustang at our dealership for training on Monday... only an ecoboost 200A (no GT). NO live demonstrations for the active exhaust, premium plus interior or digital dash!!!! I was so excited for the training and what a letdown. Ford... take note!
