Okay here's the better question. Just did an online comparison. Two 5 quart jugs of Pennzoil Platinum is $48 with tax from Walmart, but a case of 6 for Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is $52 from Amazon 
is Ultra Platinum really worth the extra money? It doesn't look like Walmart has Ultra Platinum in stock right now.

The difference in price between Ultra Platinum and Platinum in 5qt jugs from Walmart is about $3. $27 for Ultra and $24 for Platinum. It's about the same difference between Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 Extended Performance. It's always a lot more expensive to buy the oil in 1qt containers.
Both the Ultra and Extended Performance are group 4 synthetics where the others are a blend of group 3 and group 4 synthetics.

I saw that. And if Walmart had Ultra in stock I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but they've been sold out online for some time now. I went and bought two 5 quart jugs of Platinum at Walmart today and price matched to their online price for $22.97, and then picked up the FL-500S for around $4 and changed the oil this afternoon. All in all it was roughly $50. :clap2:

Canadian tire up here in Canada has 5 liter jugs that go on sale for 32$ and include a 10$ mail-in rebate.
Wait till they go on sale and buy 4 or 5 is what I do.

Ultra Platinum has additional additives that will effectively translate to longer change intervals, according to my phone call with Pennzoil. Platinum is an excellent oil already.

So I use the "made from natural gas" 5w30 Platinum and find out there is a bunch of others using it as well, this is interesting? Comments as to the results of use?I used the

I have a subscription with Pennzoil through Amazon. Puts it at $32 for a 5 qt. Not the cheapest (Walmart at $28 is the best I've seen), but it's always available. The oil change interval is long enough that it works out. I'm changing at about 7,500 miles now that I do a lot more stop and go. When I used to be driving 80% highway miles I was up over 10k, confirmed by UOA.
