Mine with a whipple, and the only weight loss a lighter battery and front swaybar removed, weighed in at 3870 with me in it. It is a base gt. fwiw

I asked Whipple this same question when I got mine, and I believe they told me it added 80lbs net.

This is the answer you would be looking for.

Ok thanks. So close to 700hp at the crank at the expense of an extra 160lbs. No wonder my car is so slow! Time to get lighter wheels
Like the above ppl said I think its actually less weight than the shipping weight is added to the car because you are removing some components like the OEM intake manifold TB and strut tower brace to fit the supercharger.

That seems pretty light for a whippled gt especially with you in it

Mine weighed 1720kgs (3790lb) with a 1/4 tank of fuel when it was NA.
1800 (3970lbs) once the Whipple was added BUT that was with a full tank...
Deducting circa 80-100lbs for fuel puts it at 3870-3890lbs
Call it 80-100lbs difference. I’d be hedging more toward the 100lb mark given that there may have been other subtle differences in the way the car was presented for weighing.
Doesn’t sound like enough of a gap but if you pick up all the parts you removed and weigh them....
TB, airbox, IM, plugs, hoses, belts, pulleys, sound tube, etc etc.
You might be surprised.

I went through this with Dustin Whipple 2 years ago and we came up with less than 100 lbs total added. Stock items taken off amount to more than you think. I wish I had the list with weights but we did it together and it was something like 85-90 lbs.

My Whipple has the stock throttle body on the front so I don't know WTH you guys are talking about with subtracting the weight of the throttle body. You have a Holley 600 on yours or what?

there's really no way getting around the 150-200+ lbs added to going FI on any NA car.
