I’m curious as to what you are running on your 15-17 GT. I just bought my summer tires (Indy 500) figured now would be good time to get some wheels 18x8

19x9.5 or 19x10 all around is a very popular setup. These cars are heavy and need a lot of tire.

I went from the factory 18x8 to a 19x10 rear and 19x8.5 front. Major difference.

I would still like to stay with 18x8. Since I already have the tires. Any recommendations for 18x8 rims other than stock

Well nothing in 18x8 is going to be an "upgrade" per se, outside of a different style. What are you desiring out of a new wheel? The only thing would be the optional 5 spoke wheels for the S550, or there are a couple of the S197 18x8 wheels that should fit.

Going from 18x8 to 18x8 isn't an upgrade.

Check the recommended wheel size range for the tires. It's very likely you can go an inch wider on wheel size and still use those tires. Then you can at least sneak up on getting some decent sized wheels & tires on there.

What size indy 500 did you purchase? Chances are you can run those on a 8.5, 9, or 9.5 inch wheel, and at that point you open up your options on better/wider tires down the road.

The factory 235 size just does not help whatsoever in the transfer of power to the ground/handling. The car needs a wider tire with the appropriate sized wheel to get the best gain from the wheel/tire modification.

I am running the stock 18x8 wheel with Indy 500s. The tires definitely made a big improvement. As the others stated, the bigger difference will come with wider wheels. I’m planning to get 19x10s when funds will allow.

Sorry if I was misleading, I am not upgrading, I like my size, I just want to get the same size rims maybe a different style. My winter tires are 235/55 my summer tires are 235/55, just would like a different style rim so it would be easier for me to change when the time comes, I don’t need bigger tires, im happy with what I got, just would like another set of rims with a different style.
Maybe I will look into some rims for the 14GT if they fit

I’ve thought about this too, as I have the 18” Foundry wheels on mine. Now I love them, they actually remind me and others of the Bullitt Mustang, but I’ve had them for three years and would like something else. Most wheels that I like are 19” like 19x10 all around which would mean I need to get tires. There’s just not that much out there in 18 inch. 19 I think is the biggest I’d go as the ride would suffer and you just don’t need 20’s at all. If I do upsize, I’d keep my 18’s and put the snow tires on them for winter.

You can probably get much lighter wheels than stock. I don't understand why some people insist on their way being the right way.

I'd hit up Paul at PKD. He can point you in the right direction and give you some good pricing.
