I just got back from a long road trip and noticed the voltage doing something different or I don`t remember it acting like this before. At idle it shows 14.2 volts but as the engine speeds up the voltage drops to a low 12 or high 11 volts and stays until you lift off the throttle.

Is this during WOT? I know the ecu will cut out the A/C clutch to free up power, wonder if it does the same for the voltage regulator on the alternator?

Totally normal on these cars... The computer will demand voltage when its needed. Otherwise it doesnt put out much..... my 2017 was always like that... never once had any sort of electrical issue.

Yeah these cars are weird with how voltage is regulated but that sounds normal. If it makes you feel better mine does the opposite. Usually sits at 14.5 cruising around and will....still sit at that at idle, but when it gets warm out it drops down to like 12.XX-13.XX
