1 1/2 chop mat thickness is usually good at 3 layers. Mine has 4. Once you build one of these you will understand why that is thick enough. Fiberglass is really strong.

Started in on the passenger side. Got the mold done and all the fiberglass laid. Just got to build the front and mount it all up.


Next up will be the Sync 3 conversion, wiring, and then the door panels/a-pillars.


Then I have to rip it all out before the car ships. Lol
Why do you have to rip it out to ship the car??

No non OEM components cannot be left in the car.

The amp rack and subs will come out. All the wiring will be hidden.

Damn... that's going to be alot of work. :frusty:
It should only take me 30 minutes the way I did it. Subs with boxes are four screws and a bolt. Amp rack is just unhooking and four pins. I will get some better shots on how the amp rack is in there.

Passenger side box completed. There is so much more room on this side. I was able to cut the box down to give me a perfect .5cuft.

I think I will be able to fit two sets of golf clubs back there which was the goal.

I will have to order the carpet piece without the Shaker mount cutouts to complete the look. :headbang:

Trunk is done. Working on the Sync 3 install and center channel replacement. Replaced it with an Infinity Perfect 300.

Had to file about 2-3mm of the center channel hole to get it to fit.

Raining today. Prepped all the power wire though. Everything is Tech shielded, heat shrinked and Tessa taped.

The wire on the bottom is the 1/0 power wire and the wire on the top is for the Fore fuel system controller.

Lots of soldering to do. These are all the signal and speaker wires. The two red/redblack wires are for the tweeters.

Thanks to Hextall for the connectors to interface with the factory wiring.

The Twik 88 will go where the factory amp/dsp is now. The two blue 9 conductor cables and 5sets of RCAs will run down the driver's side and the main power wire will go down the passenger side.

Front input to DSP
Mids channel one
Tweets channel two
Highs channel three
Center channel four

Rear input to amp
Sub out to mono amp
