New Mag xl just arrived!

Just got my Mag XL today! taking out the MT82 this weekend and doing the swap. Have to do it on my back in the garage... anybody that has done the swap have any pointers I appreciate it?!?

Make sure it is in neutral before stabbing it back in.

Torque everything to spec.

Anyone know the ins and outs for the wiring and tune side of the swap ?

Got her finished up yesterday! .. Unfortunately she is coming back out this weekend to do a little tunnel massage. I didnt realize how tight the reverse solenoid was to the tunnel. So far really impressed and love the gearing! Took out a street bike yesterday on the 4 lane in town. In mexico of course!

Wiring wasnt bad... just follow the diagram. Have your tuner adjust the gear ratios in your tune to match the xl and your cruise should work just fine!

Yep, I'll be doing the exact same setup here pretty quick, the 66,000 mile MT82 is absolutely done....not looking forward to the $$$ not looking forward to the two week lead time, and not looking forward to the install down time...but once it's done! Excited.

I’ve got one waiting to go in also. Only thing I don’t have is a speedometer box, did you use one? What about an upgraded clutch line?

Bring it down to Atlanta we'll put you on a lift - small fee. I know a guy who'd love to help, I'm sure. Ford Tech replaced his own MT82 3 times already, haha. Then I can see how this is done for my own curiosity.
