2018 Shelby Super Snake Wide Body build to begin

Started the process of ordering a 2018 Super Snake wide body from Shelby America. A few here have asked me to document and update the process in a thread. At this point we are finalizing the specs of the 2018 mustang that will be sent to Las Vegas for the conversion. As of now it will be a Race red, ebony interior, silver striped car. Options are 401a, PP(1), magnaride, active exhaust, shaker pro. Will update as I go. Feel free to ask any questions but I will not get into manufacture bashing of any brand. I realize there are lots of options in modifying Mustangs and I can appreciate them all. I have had a crazy wide variety of cars and am not a brand loyalist of any manufacturer! Anyway very excited for the build and sharing with other enthusiasts!

That is an awesome car. Not cheap. If you look at the stuff they are putting in the car, does it include oil pump gears? The link I saw showed the SS at about 120K, but in the build list no OPG were included.
I've been anal researching this. Make sure they do the gears on that kind of HP which is what, about 1,000 HP?

They are claiming 800+ at this point the numbers have not been finalized yet. To my knowledge they are keeping the (TORSEN® Differential with 3.55 Axle Ratio) that is part of the performance package. I don't think they go into the rear end. I will find out for sure.

He means Oil Pump Gears, not rear end gears.

Ok read it wrong. I just went over the spec sheet didn't see anything about oil pump. I will check and find out!

I'm really excited by this thread.......as I've said elsewhere, the '18 Super Snake is gorgeous :cheers:

Thanks guys. The wheels roll slow! Hopefully get everything finalized/ordered next week. Then the waiting game begins! But at least there is light at the end of the tunnel now.
