OP, I would probably stick with the exact part number and go with that. It'll save you a headache.

On a separate note, I have a F'ed up back (got rear-ended twice) and love my cloth Recaro's. I specifically wanted the cloth over the leather option so I had to go to 5 different bay area/sac valley dealers. Really helps with all the auto-x/track shit I do. The harnesses dont hurt either...

Good luck OP!

A friend of mine wanted GT350 Recaros (pictured right) for his '15 GT. He tried ordering them over the counter at a few different dealerships and nobody was able to help him out.

Ebay has a few sets

Ebay has a few gt350 sets floating around. Saw one for only $2595 buy it now. It would bug me though having seats that said gt350 in anything other than a gt350:p

Is had recaros in my last 15 Mustang, they were comfortable and looked awesome, my 18 doesn’t have them, the premium seats are more comfortable and I really like the heated / cooled option. My wife has a bad back and she hated the recaros, anything more than 45 min and she was miserable. Recaros are definitely a try it before you buy it option.

There are some GT350 seats for sale in the classifieds on this forum. I actually fit a little tight in the GT350 but way more comfortable than PP Recaro’s. The bolstering is shaped differently on both. I would’ve bought the local GT350’s but the wife would not have been comfortable. :D

I'm both, but actually liking the cloth Recaros. No long trips in them yet though.
Now that you've had the Recaro's for a while, what are your impressions? I'm still leaning towards wanting to swap my stock seats for the Recaros at some point.

Air bag system in the seats could be different.

From what I’ve seen posted on this site, the seat harnesses for the air bag systems are different from 2015-17 to the 2018-current (holds true for Recaro and non-Recaro swaps).

IIRC, the seats can be interchanged regardless of model year, BUT you will need to do a wire pinout revision to the harnesses under the seat and those to the floor pan in order for 2015-17’s to work in the 2018-current (or 2018-current to 2015-17).

I think there’s a thread on here possibly in the Interior sub forum or the DIY section (can’t recall at the moment) from those who have swapped seats between model years and made the proper fix to the harness.

Has anyone tried to use the 2018-2022 FP seats, M-63660005-MF, in a 2017 GT PP1. The older version Ford Performance seats for the 2017's are no longer available.
