I'm taking the plunge with Anarchy Motive for a custom shift knob.

Placed the order tonight for an ink black with red filled artwork.

I'm hoping this is a less busy time for Derrick, but in the end I really want the shift knob to be custom to me. If I get ansy I think I'll just get a Raceseng as they are amazing looking even if they're not custom.

I'll marking this day on the calendar and will update when I get the new shifter.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences with each company. It helps a ton!

You wont regret it! I looked forever to find a black knob with red letters, nothing except ones that have red stripes which i didnt want. Derrick takes his time, and i appreciate that. Quality was excellent and well worth the wait.

I was in the same boat about a black knob with red letters, which is one of the main reasons I went the custom route, that and most everything else was listed as "custom" but was just a pick and choose of their designs.

I can't wait to get my anarchy motive shift knob. The lead time didn't bother me since I knew my car wouldn't be here till end of March at the earliest. I went with red ball, silver shift pattern to match the start/stop button.
hopefully its not as long as a wait as it is for me. i ordered mine the first week of October and still haven't seen it. got a tracking email sent out to me on the 3rd of February, but it hasn't updated at all and just states "a shipping label has been created". Contacted AM and he said it probably got lost in the mail. just really disappointing waiting so long just for it to get lost in the mail. Even more disappointing is that if i say fuck it and ask him to redo it, ill be waiting another 5 months. might just end up with a slammer knob. sigh.

You're not going to wait another 5 months.

Their tracking has been absolutely god awful, seems like half of things are missing the first scan and then showing up in the host city days later which is extremely aggravating. @Fordever I just responded to your email, I'll check today.
@Cxmoney - I already have another engraved, I'll be color filling it today and if it doesn't show movement or anything by Friday I'll be clear coating it this weekend and ship it UPS to you.

In addition, I haven't had anything actually lost...just extremely long transit times with no tracking in between. Like these

Yeah, I would hope it would track. Usually if it misses the scan here it will get it in Chicago, that's the Custom's Hub that's closest to me.

I'll check into it a bit later today and let you know.

Just to share my story as well. I placed my order 10/30/2017. I didnt get a shipping label until 1/17/18... double the lead time (11.5 weeks). Derrick at AM explained he had some personal issues going on and apologized for the delay. While it is understandable, it is also disappointing.

I understand the tracking issues and shipping delays are NOT derricks fault, but when you know you have a repeat issue, its time to find a new f***ing shipping carrier.

I have expressed my desire for a refund to no avail, again I guess I cant blame derrick, he already sent the product.

To reiterate, order placed 10/30, shipment label made 1/17, its 2/20 and i still have no knob. Again while knowing these issues exist and have been happening repeatedly, i wouldnt recommend him. If Derrick can get a new way of shipping things out that actually works, then I'd 100% recommend him to everyone here, even with the build/lead time. The problem right now is that there is a bucket of people that have received NO product after months and months (some of which have been shipped already for months).

Just my $.02.

Look, you're not wrong. It is not as common as it would seem, it seems to come in flows. There are other issues with other carriers as well. They are also offered at checkout as well. I've had issues with UPS damaging knobs and then not paying claims as well as FedEx simply not delivering. A simple change in shipping carriers is not out of the question, but there's plenty of people's knobs which are delivered in a timely manner with great tracking that don't ever say anything. And I wasn't declining to refund you simply because I'm a dick and you know that. I've also kept you informed the entire way through and shown you pictures of your product as I've gone. Stuff I don't normally do simply due to time constraints. I have an investigation filed for your shipment and as soon as I hear something you will. :thumbsup:Also, at the moment yours is the longest outstanding shipping issue. I'm also not going to leave anyone without their product or their money. At some point I'll either cut the loss and refund it or eat it and re-do the product as fast as I can.
