Yeah but at the same time if you stay with the 3.7 which 108k miles isn't a lot but you can pick a low mileage one up for 800 dollars usually.
Very true. It’s not the engine I am worried about but more the transmission. I have not had luck with ford automatic transmissions above 100k before.

Twin turbos are tempting but being limited to 450rwhp is not great for what I want to achieve. And if I want go through the effort of strengthing the 3.7 its more beneficial to me to just go V8.

Who told you they are limited to 450hp? The build I am doing will be 700whp and no need for any engine nor tranny building other then the clutch and ds. These motors/ trannys have been around 1000hp with no rebuild.

Who told you they are limited to 450hp? The build I am doing will be 700whp and no need for any engine nor tranny building other then the clutch and ds. These motors/ trannys have been around 1000hp with no rebuild.
Everything I have seen thus far on the 3.7 says stock safe limit of 450rwhp and max limit of the block without cylinder stabilizer plates(cylinders are floating in our block) is about 600rwhp.
