I built a new house out in the sticks and paving a long driveway delayed my Gt350R purchase a few years. I just found a base R at nearly MSRP which is awesome. Now a soon to be released GT500 is coming. I can wait again but going a few years without some fun wheels is a drag and riding the old Harley just doesn’t do much for me anymore. Would love to get a satin finish non metallic gray. I had an old pistol coated in Coyote Brown cerakote which would look interesting with black wheels and trim (maybe in a wrap).

Thanks for your time served.
I understand your frustration, however my vent was directed to the OP who came up with the bizzar position that nobody should have to pick up the phone and shop around to find a good deal. This was the guy a while back who disrespected people who serve and have served (in a post that was deleted by the mods).

Adam Smith wrote in the wealth of nations about a free market economy where value is perceived by the demand and supply. This "invisible hand" that he wrote of influences our economy and price you pay for that GT500. It's simple, if it's a great car, people are going to want it and will pay.

I'm not some punk ass kid asking mommy and daddy to buy me a GT500. I make my own money and I'm not going to have some socialist tell me how to spend it.

Really? Hating the idea of ADM's is artificial drama? His point is that he shouldn't HAVE to pick up the phone and do work to avoid it.

I hate people that just accept bullshit systems instead of wanting to improve them. Take care.
Hilarious. Yes, when we all KNOW the process of obtaining a desirable car for a good price in an economy and industry driven by supply and demand, choose to ignore and complain about the process, blaming it for a perceived deprivation, that's called "Drama".

You can wait for that world where everyone works for free and gets everything they ask for, for free...if you want.... but I'll just be over here working and paying for the stuff I want.

With all due respect....

Yes, this is all an assumption, its what people do on forums, but at the same time of course the car is going to a performance beast! Ford is not working on a car that is going to be less then that. With the already confirmed 7:eyebulge:hp+, its more than majority of people need or can handle. But we are in the middle of a modern day Horsepower War (win for us & for Dealers) and the name of the game is stronger & faster.

Production numbers aside this car will definitely bring a ADM, maybe not at some dealers in Southeastern USA but definitely in Southern California. There are still local dealers asking $10K for GT350. So to not assume that there will be an ADM on the Newest, Badness and most Powerful Mustang EVER is something I can't comprehend. My OP was not to say its unfair and poor me, just that it sucks and hear we go again. Unfortunately, I'm in the capital of people with too much money and Spoiled little F*cks who asks their parents.

At the end of the day everyone will pay what they are willing to pay but it does go to say that some people will be squeezed out of the market because of the ridiculous ADM prices. Happy Hunting:cheers:
I would suggest that you are correct with respect to pricing differences between Southern California and many of the states in the Southeast therefore how about we do this.

Since I have absolutely no interest in the upcoming GT500 when it launches in a year or so from now and assuming that you still have interest in the upcoming GT500 at that time but cannot find a fair price in your area I would be willing to look around here for best pricing based on some of the dealerships that I have worked with for many years and we could go from there.

Just last week I had a call from a Canadian dealership that I know very well and they offered me their first GT500 allocation which I politely turned down which just shows things are starting to happen with some dealerships already regarding the GT500.

;)

I couldn't agree more. I flew to Sioux Falls to get the best deal on my truck and flew to Florida to get my last Stang from Solomon. . Both where no hassle and about 20% off list which was a real nice savings for a diesel truck. Around Indy at that time they wouldn’t move much and a low mile used truck would have cost more.

I'm first in line for GT500 at the dealership I purchased my GT350 from with no ADM guaranteed. Pick up the phone and start calling.

If they can get an R model cheap Harry, I'd be interested. Not sure I'll be getting it tho, its all based on what it actually IS.
I know I have a MSRP deal here for the base model, but if I'm getting one, I'll have to get the R model... if there is one. All depends on the differences. Still not keen on the front end look, but that COULD change.

I’ll just buy a lightly used one in 2020 through the magic of depreciation like I currently continually almost do with the GT350. :p

Jimmy, I would still like to see something confirmed on a GT500R but in any event you know that I will help you out in any way that I can with this or any other model going forward.

Thanks Harry! :cheers: you :headbang::hail::hail:

I'm unsure how many my dealer will get. I'm guessing 2 to 3/year and I'm also guessing no R model for them because they never did receive a 350R. Its all speculation of course, we may be able to configure a regular model however we want...that would be killer:) BUT, I'm still on the fence with this car... its gonna have to be very, very, very good

I agree with points from everyone about this. Understand this is a Great Country and the Free Market will self correct as we have seen in the past....The problem is those that want it now have to pay!!....Not everyone one, but those that can't find an 'honest' dealer, or have contacts, or relationships, or whatever will have to. I just do not think it HAS to be this way, this car probably wont be 'that' special and will probably produce lots of them so its an artificial demand in my eyes. I don't think this, along with prior cars, is about me fighting to get the last one, its about greedy dealerships IMO. Its just a shame you can't go into ANY dealer and order ANY car you are willing to pay for at MSRP or below. <--IT USED TO BE THIS WAY. IT just turns what should be an exciting time for me into what will eventually be the first topic of conversation about this car and a sour note about paying over MSRP, and the jokes following.....

I will stop whining and crying , cause i know , I KNOW there is a simple solution don't buy it. It is that simple. Or just wait for everything to calm down and buy a discounted one.....

That clown is more of a troll than anything. Constantly piping up in these GT350/500 threads or posting political nonsense. And he drives a Nissan - hilarious! ADMs are simple supply/demand, if you don't like it, buy a Nissan - ah there we go...

PS thanks for your service sir!

Let me clarify, the car it self is going to be amazing as far as performance, looks and straight up badness. What I am not excited about is the battle in the dealership many of us are going to have. The GT350 was already seeing ADMs of $10- $25 and some of those where on Non R models. I still think its pretty shitty that if you can afford a Ford GT you don't have to pay a penny over MSRP but the true fans and everyday Joe's, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR OWN!! Especially if your from California. Yes, I know the car is not for everyone and not everyone can or will be able to afford it, but that is not my argument. I make a decent living and I could pay the ADM the dealers will be asking, but should anyone of us have to? This may as well be the start of the AMD Nightmare Sticky. Let the out of State searching begin....
Supply and demand, Aquilar, it's supply and demand. The dealerships are in business to make a profit.

I'm not that excited for it because my car already has more power than the GT500 will.

I know that will add more fire to this thread because it's still not a shelby, etc, etc. :headbonk:

Has less to do with not being a Shelby and everything to do with the fact that it's aftermarket and not engineered as a package. I've built a few cars and there's always some compromise vs an OEM engineered solution.
