As I wrote in the other thread, by the time the 500 comes out the 6:59 Camaro might be out too.

Sounds like the 500 may be super limited for a 2019 model run like the 350 and therefore ACTUALLY a 2020 car. I’d wager we’ll see the Camaro then too.

Also to the ZR1 comments, the 500 isn’t in the same universe. The ZR1 is quicker than the GT!!
I figured a drag pack camaro would come with substantial power soon. What is this 6:59 you mention? Is it something with some history?

haha! Thats funny, yeah,I've heard about a possible z28, but yeah, throw in the ZR1 mill into the camaro zl1 and goodbye GT500. Thats why GT500 shouldn't mess around... go for the jugular

Chief engineer of The Camaro Team went on record to say wouldn’t it be cool to see a Camaro under 7 minutes? He’d like to see it.

Now this doesn’t mean anything official. But he did say there’s more in the car and they’re still tinkering and it’s getting faster yet.

It’ll likely be the ZR1 engine Camaro, guess work.

Anyway if that’s the case I’m not diehard ford, or Chevy, or Porsche. I love all cars.

A 750hp Alpha platform car would be nuts. It can already house larger rear tires than our S550. Putting power down is easier in the Alpha.

:brokenheart:

A little over 700HP is needed to kill the current Hellcat. Forget about the Demon and the ZR1, the GT500 will not go against any of those, actually the only competitor that Ford is considering right now is the Camaro, they want to be better on track than the ZL1 and by doing so also be faster than the Hellcat on straight.
we shall see:lol:
