Same here guys!
We don't even know when the reveal is?!?! :headbonk:
No cars until feb/March of next year. So I’d guess about 6 months before that for a full reveal, October of 2018. Hopefully we get some sort of info in the next few months.

Don't look now but it appears Hellcats in 2019 are getting a HP increase. Seems the bar just keeps getting raised while Ford waits to get this thing on the road.

It's ok if the Hellcat gets an HP increase by 2019, I don't think they will put the Hellcat in the same HP range than the Demon though. Even if the HP is higher on the Hellcat, the DCT and the lesser weight of the GT500 will still give it a slightly advantage over the Hellcat.

It won't be the same than a couple of years before when the GT500 was "defeated" by the Hellcat, because most of the times they used to compare the GT500 with the 8 speed Auto Hellcat and not with the 6 speed manual (where the GT500 would be superior against it).

How much of an increase are we seeing? 20-50HP more? (I would expect a 750HP Hellcat, if that where the case a Low-Mid 700's GT500 will still beat it)

I still say over 800hp is needed to get the GT500 to kill dodge and maybe, just maybe run with the new zr1

A little over 700HP is needed to kill the current Hellcat. Forget about the Demon and the ZR1, the GT500 will not go against any of those, actually the only competitor that Ford is considering right now is the Camaro, they want to be better on track than the ZL1 and by doing so also be faster than the Hellcat on straight.

How about waiting until Jim Owens corrects himself. I still find it mighty strange he would have mentioned demons, and then not once, even on facebook or twitter, come out and say, "oh, sorry guys, I ment hellcat". Nope, nothing, and you can sure bet he's seen the steam that video put out.

I don't think ford wants to miss out on the drag scene (although they have taken their sweet time bringing this GT500), as soon GM will have performance out the ass coming. ME Vetts, Z-28's possible demon competitor, not to mention whats already out!
I heard a while back that the hellcat was getting a power bump for 2019. I don't think its going to be substantial, maybe 50HP (757), and it will have 400lb Disadvantage against a GT500, with my estimation, the GT500 will be over 757HP.

As I wrote in the other thread, by the time the 500 comes out the 6:59 Camaro might be out too.

Sounds like the 500 may be super limited for a 2019 model run like the 350 and therefore ACTUALLY a 2020 car. I’d wager we’ll see the Camaro then too.

Also to the ZR1 comments, the 500 isn’t in the same universe. The ZR1 is quicker than the GT!!
