Horsepower of a Demon, handling of a ZL1, and looks of a GT350 for under 65k.

It will have some lightweight goodies to keep it from being “Challenger heavy”, however don’t expect it to be under 4000lb in its lightest configuration. There is no way the upcoming GT500 will enter into the 9’s.I don’t know. Maybe but only pro drivers get the top times. The GT500 is rumored to have some lightweight goodies.
Total fail if they can’t get this car under 4000 pounds. I’ll still probably get one, but really disappointed that it will be over 4000 pounds. Why should it piss off track guys, that’s the ENTIRE purpose of the 350R!! I don’t understand those people they complain when an FI car is too heavy or overheats and that it should be NA, but as soon as the bad boy FI car comes they want it to be a track car! I agree with you if it’s going to weigh around 4K make it more of straight line car that is capable on a track. Not try and make a track car (which may be too heavy) and an ok straight line car.at 4000+ lbs it's already over what I'd consider a track car weight.
I guess with 700+HP it can still be fast BUT will it be fun?
if 4000+ I'm hoping for just a high HP straight line car but realize if ford did that they would piss off the track guys.
Me personally if they were going to make it a straight line oriented car I’d like to see motors powering the front wheels so it wouldn’t be the classic “only at a well prepped drag strip!” Situation. They could still do that and make it a decent track car it just wouldn’t be track focused. The 350 with 560-575 hp would be perfect and an optional Dct.I agree, I wish it just went full bore straight line destroyer. but im probably in the minority.
The 350R is already the superb track car. if that car could get to 600HP and 550 torque or shed another 400lbs (aint happening) it would just be on another planet - good.
With that wing, I'm guessing there was a lot of road course focus. I wish the 350 went a step fruther in weight reduction too. I would have been fine paying a little more money for the car to be 100lbs lighter from the factory.I agree, I wish it just went full bore straight line destroyer. but im probably in the minority.

K That is super late to bring it to market......I really hope we get more than 750hp after having to wait this long!I seen on another site that the GT350 will run thru 2019 MY and the GT500 won't be here until calendar year 2019 as a 2020MY. another 4 more months down the road than I thought. WOW, i feel sorry for the guys that are wanting this car, as realistically, the first 1/2 year production will be slim pickens. My guess is a majority here wont see a car until YEAR 2020-2021.
