Depreciation on the GT350 will more than likely be similar to Depreciation on the 13/14 GT500's.

As time goes on most automotive Ford enthusiasts will certainly come to understand and appreciate just how special the FPC Shelby's were compared to a supercharged 5.4 liter GT500 therefore suggest that the GT350 will not depreciate as quickly or as much as the 13/14 GT500 cars.

Of course many of us already understand how unique and short lived these GT350 cars will be.

In addition during the 8 year run of almost 50,000 GT500's Ford never produced a 2 seat GT500 such as the R model along with many unique features such as CF wheels etc.

Ford did produce the KR in 2008 and 2009 but many of those cars were sold well under MSRP as not many people want to pay a huge premium for very little improved performance.

As far as total production numbers I would suggest that the Shelby GT350 cars will be somewhat less than 50% of the GT500 cars subject to the 2018MY being the last cars produced.

You can even hear that the 2020MY MAY be the last year of the GT350, but according to some people 2019MY is for sure.

So what you are telling me is that Ford will continue on with the FPC engine for the 2019MY and in addition to that will they continue with the same unique body style that started launched in 2015 or will they come up with another unique body style for a 2019 GT350 and GT350R?

There will be GT350 prototypes so maybe they come with a physical change (or maybe just equipment upgrades...)

I'd go with what Ford said directly, there won't be a GT350 model built once the 500 is out. Does that mean there is a short run on 19s to carry over till the 500 starts? Perhaps but everything I've heard, seen and been told leads to 18 is the end of the line.

Everything will be carryover, except for a couple of things. Same FPC and same unique body since 2015.

They lied. A 2019MY will be for sure, a 2020MY is possible as well according to my contact at Romeo Plant.

Ford lied? And the FP guys too? I stick with what I've heard from the horses mouth.

I can see the GT350 hitting mid 30's within the next year. While its a really nice car, Its not much faster than a 2018 PP1 Mustang GT. We also still dont know about the long term reliability of these FPC motors, Which are already known to burn alot of oil with 5k miles on them while you can get 150k-200k reliably out of the supercharged 4v motors or Coyote 5.0's no problem. I typically like to avoid anything new and unproven from Ford(cough cough automated Manual transmission cough)

Yes, they did.

Or maybe they didn’t, maybe they had plans for a short run, but then they changed their mind (or maybe this was Hackett’s plan).

For many of us we didn't buy them because of how fast they. There are multiple reasons why I had no interest in any Mustang until the 350R came.

I love picking apart posts like yours.

1 - mid-30s for a high-mileage 16 tech car, MAYBE...
2 - It's not faster at all in a straight line than the A10 2018 GT and no one cares.
3 - You make it sound like it's a fact that all of them burn oil or even a lot of it - that's false. 2018 GT has the same cylinder wall technology now, so who knows what we will see there?
4 - Where's your list of 150k-200k supercharged coyotes? Ok, I'll settle for one, lol. Not that the engine isn't great, I love them but your making up your own statistics here. The GT350 isn't supercharged and very few people are interested in doing so - so your comparing to what? Let's take the supercharged coyote GT and go to the track and see which one lasts longer. My point here is that people aren't supercharging them, so who cares? The FPC has not been proven to be unreliable, as you suggest.

Edit - oh crap, just realized you were talking about something that has nothing to do with the thread...and I added... So, to stay OT: If you want one (GT500), the best course of action is to get your deal locked in early.

The Romeo engine plant building through 2019 is not a new piece of info. That rumor has been around for a while. Still doesn’t change no VIN and nothing new coming out of Flat Rock in terms of rumors for builds but I’m checking with my guy.

13/14 GT500 is steadily becoming the best bang for buck car right now in my opinion.
I'd argue a C6 Corvette Z06 is by far a better bargain.

I found a 2011 C6 Corvette Z06 with the Carbon package for $52000. I would've pulled the trigger if it wasn't so far away from me. The logistics weren't working out.
