Hi there.

I know there are threads about opening up the honey combs on the grill but I can’t find them...

Are they effective? What’s the best way to do it and is it work it?

Any other “free” or cheap mods that make a performance difference?

Not sure if this is in the right section or not... if not, please move to the correct spot!

Thanks again for info!!!

Still looking for a ride in an auto with higher stall!!!

The only thing I noticed about my grill delete is my IAT's dropped a couple degrees. I highly doubt that transfers to any measurable HP. You'll have to pull the front bumper off and pull the grills out to cut the honey comb out.

Like what was mentioned if you want to "remove" the honeycomb grill you will need to remove the bumper.

If you want to "open" up some of the closed honeycomb you don't have to remove the front bumper.

A buddy of mine used a dremel to open up some of the holes that were blocking the opening to the snorkel for the CAI.

I used a step drill bit to open holes in front of air box. Made a big difference in IAT when moving. I have a JLT intake. I also had to put a spacer under the intake to raise it to make it fit flush with hood closed. Later I took off bumper and opened up all holes. Made no more of a difference.

Have you done a tune yet? Makes a nice difference with the auto.

Free horsepower you say? Lighten it up. Got my base GT under 3500lbs. Stock interior intact still.

Thanks!

Didn’t know about that thread!

Yea, I’ve got some parts on order including a tune.

Those last lights in the grill corners look amazing!

Thanks again!

Bumper removal is super easy and allows you to do a much better job with the grill. I was able to get mine off in less than 20 minutes, while teaching my 5-year-old son how to use various tools.

For that carbon filter, I don't really see any benefit.
