Why would the gt500 come out in 2019 when there is a major refresh is in 2020?
S650 is due in 2020 as a 2021 MY. GT500 is speculated to be 2018 as a 2019 MY. That would leave 2-3 years for the GT500, which is what they did for the GT350

Was said the the S650 was pushed back until March calendar year 2021. Was told that a more powerful version will come for ‘21, still s550.

I believe the first V8 was a 262, but a 289 was the first performance motor. Don't they always put a 289 on these dash pics?
The first Mustangs had a 260 cid V-8, which was originally a 221 cu in. displacement. That later became 289 and was we now refer to as a Windsor engine.

It's not a Flat plane crank kiddies. The 75% all new 2018 5.0 is not to far from a 5.1, considering the 2011-2017 5.0 is a 4.96... The GT350's 5.2 has not been around anywhere near long enough to prove itself for top dog duty. The reincarnation of the 5.0 for 2011, has been around. Just like the mighty 5.8 was a 5.4 that started life in a truck, then a GT Supercar, then the 2007 GT500, then went to 5.8L in 2013. Thus new engine is just a slightly bigger 5.0 with meaty internals. And the SC is of the 2.9L variety. The car is still a SVT product, whereas the GT350 is genuine Shelby, ever since the two came back, in 2007. Heck, the last GT500 I sold was a new 2014 in solid Grabber. The last GT350 I sold prior to 2015, was a nice 2013 GT350 in Sterling Gray, now called Magnetic. Those GT350's were rare and $15-20k higher in price than the SVT GT500's.
I think you are a bit confused old man. The voodoo is has far more in common with a coyote than the 5.8 ever did with a 5.4. That said, the comparison is erroneous.

Both of the S550 Shelby varieties are SVT products. Shelby America has absolutely nothing to do with either product. You seem to be referencing the Shelby America GT350, which was nothing more than an aftermarket package for a S197 Mustang GT. The only thing Shelby America produced on that car was the front/rear fascias and hood. So, while it was not entirely a Ford, it was almost entirely not a Shelby. It was also a terrible investment, and a horrible car.

The hasn't really been a geniune Shelby since the 1960s. The only Shelby branded cars worth owning since have been the one which Shelby America had nothing to do with. As other have already stated, Shelby America really is destroying the Shelby brand. If it weren't for SVT licensing the name, it probably wouldn't be worth the plaques they print it on, at least not in the case of late models.

Nobody mentioned the BIGGEST news on that 2020 oil list though (at least in swept volume); the 7.0 V8 IS REAL. So there is at least a chance of there being a BOSS 429 MUSTANG AGAIN !!

Picture that with a naturally aspirated 600hp, and a 6 speed manual !!

So nobody but me noticed that the color on the "5.2 L" doesn't match the color of the rest of the casing? Or that the top of the "L" isn't lined up with the top of the "5" ???

Looks Photoshopped to me... :paddle:
I agree it's probably photoshopped. And the reason I think so is that it just isn't good enough looking. I doubt Ford would put an ugly cast Cobra on the top of the blower like that. It seems more likely that Ford would have a beautiful plate made separately to bolt onto the top of the blower.

My thought is maybe the blower the tester has is very plain and doesn't look like much, so they added the Cobra and the 5.2 to stir up the forums.
