First snow of the season. Only flurries, but central Ohio drivers go crazy.

Where else have you lived?

Ohio drivers aren't bad. Not even close to bad.

My point is, Ohio winter drivers are better than many other areas.

Ohio driver know how to drive in bad weather, no problem. In the NoVa/D.C. area, you see people who really don't know how to drive in bad weather, in some of the worst traffic in the nation.

Last winter, I witnessed 8 or so accidents driving home one evening. And watched one person put their car in park, and just sit there in the middle of the road, just give up. In rush-hour traffic, in the middle of what passes for a snow-storm here.

Worst drivers in USA. I see drivers from many states here in the winter and Ohio wins, going away. I'm not the only local who says that. My 19 years in Orlando and 6 years here are my basis.

Their still calling for low mid 40s to high mid 50s in Western NY all week. Rainy and gloomy but no snow yet.

I suppose I should go put the snow tires on the SUV - I mistakenly (re: I was lazy) left them on until May one year. Putting them on a few weeks early won't hurt / beat the rush of everyone else making the same appointment.

So far, looks like I'm working from home through the winter so leaving the summer tires on the Mustang and I'll probably only take it out when the roads have been plowed / sun is out.

Are you from Ohio? You sound like you’re from Ohio and you’ve got a bias.
They're not great, because generally people are lousy drivers... But let's not forget when Atlanta got paralyzed for the week after 0.00001 inch of snowfall two years ago or so....

The funny thing about this thread is that EVERY locality has shitty drivers. I’ve lived in Hawaii, California, Virginia and Michigan and every single state has its idiots. So I don’t know why folks get defensive when we live in a society where everyone becomes a retard at the sight of a little precipitation.
