Keeping with the theme is all we discuss are CAI's...

Considering getting Airaid 451-328 Synthamax Stock Tune. Know all about the stock vs no tune issue.

I had one on my '12 GT, thought it increased throttle response sound etc... How do you like yours on your '15-16 GT?

Thank you in advance!

I've got an Airaid coming to me. There is an insert that is molded into the tube that I'll be removing with a Dremel that will make it a tune only intake. I also plan on removing the Airaid tube logo to replace with a Ford logo and I'll also omit the aluminum that mounts over the plexiglass.

I don't see how an intake can be better than the closed box design of the Airaid with the restrictor removed.

I take it the "No Tune Insert" is not removable, without cutting it out? It used to be a removable, by hand, insert in the Airaid I had for my '12.

Yeah, they're technically not removable like the 11-14 cars, but from what I've read a Dremel and some patience get the job done. I'm still baffled why Airaid would do this?

Well, even though this is another CAI thread... I have learned things already.

So, next question are there any CAI's for '15's 16's that have a removable insert for no tune/tune?

Roush and Steeda both have removable inserts.

Search is your friend...lot of info already posted here on that topic with the Steeda and Roush CAI's, and people cutting out the insert on the Airaid/Livernois CAI's.

Love mine even more after removing the molded insert... it was simple but you will need a tune. My car responded well to the modded airaid

Get a steeda that comes without a restrictor and save money.
