Saw this video on CJPP for this new no-tune-required intake -- 23 hp & 28 lb·ft are claimed.

Has anyone here seen/ installed this? Has anyone independently performed back-to-back dynamometer measurements?

Its price is relatively low -- $350, and the design draws air from the stock intake location -- a "true" CAI likely without worries about rubber-gasket-sealing-to-hood-blanket, like some of the other cone type CAIs.

I quite like the design. I don't believe the gains on a stock tune but would like to see how it performs with a tune.

It'll be interested to see a tuned result as well. The intake tube dia should be the same as the stock one to be a no-tune intake, am I right?

Holley has a dyno chart on their own site...

Would be nice to see 3rd party results too. I kinda like look of it, seems like a faux turbo :headbonk:

I like the placement of the filter, snorkel and whatnot...but the thing looks hideous!

Think I'll stick with my Airaid, but I like the closed box design.

Doesnt look like much clearance around the filter? Also dynos were done on different days, weeks apart actually if you look at the dates. Im not buying the gains, but would like to see it independantly tested on the same day, same dyno.

Mishimoto has similar claims with their CAI... and it is a no tune CAI.

I like it - looks fine to me and sort of disappears. I realize the intake temps go down when moving, but I do really want a closed CAI. Just not buying 20+ hp from no tune unless it's somehow creating boost (it isn't). Improved laminar airflow isn't going to when the stock airbox flow is sufficient for much more power than the engine produces in stock form.

They have the best install vids! That is a very original design. I like it, but in no way shape or form would that connect up to my Boss IM. :-(
