The gt350 is better looking. Just imagine if Ford could do quality and solidity as well as BMW without diluting the experience.

Amusingly flattering :)
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

"Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery."

I applaud Ford's designers (mostly), and also BMW for recognizing a great design.

I really think the aesthetic beauty of a Mustang is under-appreciated.

Mustangs are solid, the structure is very stiff. Quality......they can duplicate BMW's quality as far as panel gaps, paint, interior stuff, sure.

But then a Mustang will cost you $111K.

I find it funny when S550 owners complain about their car's quality and reliability. They must not have owned an S197.....those cars had much more issues.

But could you imagine the maintenance costs? :headbonk:

I bet the body panels will be aligned on that BMW...
Spend $111K, and you won't have to complain about body panel alignment......probably.

Never saw the similarities until seeing them together from that angle. I kind of just ignored everyone saying they looked alike because I'm usually not the type of person that'll say "oh that expensive car looks exactly like that cheap car" but aside from taillights/rear fascia, these two have an uncanny resemblance.

The side window outline really stands out along with the roofline. The rest of it just screams "BMW version of a Mustang" to put it simply. I doubt BMW designers would intentionally copy another car's design, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was done subconsciously. It just goes to show how visually pleasing the Mustang's profile and silhouette is universally.

It's because in Europe we're used to better build quality, even after the Mustangs revamp it's only considered as average. The S197 would not have sold well in Europe, even less in Australia and the UK being LHD.

I’m sure they could, but then people would complain about the MSRP of the delivered vehicle.
