I second that, I want to get my car!! It has been sitting at the dealer for two weeks.

Any news on when the fix in coming?

I would pick it up until they get the parts. Looks like all it is is if someone is an idiot and turns off their automatic car while in gear it could not ding to let you know. Um I think I can put it in park every time always have

^Not possible. I'm sure Ford doesn't share your simplistic assessment of a cross section of the population. It only takes a few "idiots" as you call them...

YeH. It up until push button start all cars could be turned off while in gear.

I asked ford about that and they indicated it was federal law that they could not deliver a new vehicle with an outstanding safety recall.

I agree with you about the recall issue.

Here is what I got from the dealer yesterday. Not an official response.

"Cross your fingers. I'm hearing a little information about parts being available in about 2 weeks. I will keep you posted either way"

I got off the phone with the Ford dealership in Williamsburg, VA, where I am picking up my 2018 GT from and they got the fix in today. Cheers!

Great news, time to call my dealer!!!!

Updated 1/13/18
Called the dealer yesterday for an update and did not hear back. Today I went there and was advised that the display was now "defective" and they have to order a replacement. I know things can break, but it worked fine during the test drive (right before we found out about the recall) and has been sitting there waiting for the computer re-flash. What a bunch of BS, now need to wait for Monday to get an update.
