Volume issues with Android S8/Sync 3

I posted this in the Electronics forum, but didn't receive any responses, so I copied it over here.

I had a 2016 GT Premium that I manually updated to the latest software to get Android Auto and Apple Carplay. In that car, I could be listening to the radio, a call would come in, and I could hear it ringing through the speakers very clearly. I could adjust the volume during the call, and it would stay. The phone volume wasn't much different than the radio volume.

On my 2017 GT Premium 401A, when my phone rings, I can't hear it. The phone volume through Sync, resets to 18 or 19, but is so quiet, I can't hear anything. The radio at 18 or 19 is plenty loud. During the call, I need to max the volume at 30 to hear the caller. It doesn't store this setting and when the next call comes in, it's the same thing all over again.

Anybody know how to fix this?

For the txt messages I can barely hear.

I have the exact same symptoms in my 2017 with Sanmsung S8

Did you try turning the volume up using your phones volume buttons?

Same here. The biggest issue though is the lack of ring tone when a call comes in.

I also found my S8 to be extremely buggy with AA in my 2016, I switched to the iphone x and couldnt be happier, no oddness or buggy stuff, sorry I couldnt offer any help

I just deleted Android Auto from my phone today. I couldn't get it to work. I saw a post about Waze being on it so I thought I'd try it. I couldn't get the car to recognize any apps. It just seemed buggy, so it's gone.
