Here's the wierd thing. Datalogs on the road were perfect. Timing 31 degrees.
But when I ran datalogs on the Dyno runs , the car would only allow 26degrees
Lund says the 6 degrees would amount to a good 15hp. Just put a catch can on today. Lund thinks more than likely that oil getting in intake is causing a lower octane reading causing the car to hold timing back. But again, datalogs were fine on the road. Is it possible that on the Dyno when all the problems develop like traction control, brake light comes on and who knows what other things go on could cause the car to hold back on timing? The other thing the car did was not allow any throttle for a min or so . We held the peddle down and the engine did nothing?? Tried to put it in dragrace mode and it would not allow it. Maybe there's a trick to this car on a Dyno I know nothing about. Any help or thoughts is appreciated.

Did you completely disable advancetrac (put it in dragrace or whatever and then hold the ESC/TCS button up for 7 seconds)? I am not at all familiar with dyno'ing a GT350, but I know on other cars you have to disable the stability control or it does weird stuff.

Well maybe this is the problem. I turned traction control off with the toggle but still had lights lit up .

So a friend just informed me I must hold the traction control button for 10secs to shut everything off or the car will pull timing ☹
Wish I would have known

I remember when I had my Boss dynoed at AED Shaun mentioned something about the front wheels not turning while on the dyno that caused an issue.

What octane did you use for baseline?

When I had my GT500 I always turned off the nannies for the dyno pulls. Good to know its no different on the 350. I have a appointment with Power by the Hour for the 12th of October, so I will try to get as much posted as I can. Should be interesting.

Roger that. Headers are here and Jon JR wants me to do some data logs on the 93 tune he sent me so he can prepare the flex and the ghost cam tunes. I seriously doubt if I use the ghost cam tune, but looking forward to the flex one.

Will have to say that I need to stop watching these turbo install vids though...

FYI for California residents: According to a petroleum distributor my son plays hockey with, next month the price of gasoline increases by 18 cents/gal. thanks to Brown's latest tax. HOWEVER, e85 will be exempt, all the more reason to run a flex tune.
