I have had an issue with body panel contact. In particular the trunk, when closed. I have adjusted the trunk stops two threads from fully extended. I still have some serious marking on the trunk edge where it mates when closed and on the tail lights. I had similar issue with my track pack, although no to this degree. Can you guys check to see if you have this problem? If not, how far out are your stops? If so, does anyone know if there is a harder rubber stop? I am going to have the car wrapped after I touch up these areas but I also want to prevent damaging the wrap and future damage to the paint. This may be something I have to live. Oh, well, racecar (almost). Pictures soon.

Thanks,

Harold

No, mine doesn't touch. I'll have to check to see where the bump stops are. I haven't touched them.

Harold,

I had no contact issues with the C2C wing on my '17 base (nor with the OEM trunk lid and duck tail spoiler).

There are a couple of bump stops that you could do a little adjustment - one is the large rubber bumpers on the bottom of the lid where it contacts the car on either side of the latch and the other is a small hex head screw on the hinges themselves. One (or both) of those may give you just a bit more clearance so that you don't get the rubbing.

Thanks. The larger stops are the ones I adjusted and the area where contact is being made. I should have extended them when I got the car. The down force this wing makes is pretty ridiculous. I will test the new adjustment today with a few high speed runs. I am going to use chalk as an indicator.

I have no issues with either car. I will take a closer look later.

My HCM spoiler is 1.25" larger than the factory spoiler and has slightly more rake than the factory unit. My adjustable bumpers are set out exactly 1.0" from the sheet metal and I have no evidence of anything hitting between the trunk lid and the rest of the car from down force. I adjusted the bumpers until the trunk lid would not latch with reasonable pressure, then backed off about 1/4 turn.

No contact here either. But my trunk lid was way off from the factory and had Ford adjust it properly. They did a very good job with that.

Mine rubbed as well! I'd wonder if folks who aren't having the rubbing issues aren't hitting high enough speeds. I didn't have problems until track use where it sees 130+ pretty regularly now.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe they are tracking just not at faster tracks. At Barber you will not hit such high speeds but Road America you will.

Could also be vibration at higher speeds, particularly if the trunk lid is not solidly on the bump stops.

Do you have a photo of the area of concern? I looked at mine tonight and found a slight rub mark, but I don't think its the area you are describing

mine looks ok. one thing I noticed is how flimsy the rails are. you can basically grab the trunk door when it's open and push in the direction (left or right) that you need it to go and it will better align.
